Mission statements- Small business

Hello all:

 

How many of you have mission statements for your business?  How many of you are in the crafting of a mission statement?

 

For those of you who do have one, does it keep you on task and help move you towards your goals?

 

Breifly discuss the pros and cons of having a mission statement.

    I don't believe there are any cons. The mission statement is the heart of your company. It's why you started the business to begin with. It has definitely helped to keep me focused. Whenever I feel myself doing too much, but really nothing at all, I go back to my mission statement. I look at the tasks on my plate and if it doesn't help to fulfill that mission, it's gone!
