I hope this is the right place to add this as it has a short time frame, but with scholarships in short supply. I try to get the word out as fast as I can. Please pass through your networks and lets find some black students who can take advantage of this.

Syracuse University has 10 Full Rides for African American Men and Women Interested in Studying Architecture. Mark Robbins, Dean of Syracuse University's School of Architecture is desperately seeking young men and women of color interested in pursuing a five year professional degree in Architecture. He says he's deeply committed to bringing diversity to his field and has scholarship money set aside to fully cover education costs for 10 students. He says that Hispanic enrollment in the school has increased substantially, but it's been harder to attract Blacks. Syracuse University School of Architecture has a great reputation and this seems like a terrific opportunity, so please pass this on to everyone you know.

Hello Michelle. I live in Texas and I'm currently attending a community college in which my Pell Grant covers all my expenses. But in the Fall, I will attend a major university and I'm going to need some scholarship money. I'm trying to avoid getting loans as much as possible. Do you have any scholarship listings for people who live in TX?
I went to school in Texas because it was so cheap to go. This was in the 1980's. Before you start signing up for loans, check into the CLEP program. You take a test and get credit for life experience, which reduces the amount of time you have to spend in college and also the amount of cash you have to put out. Scholarships can be region based but most are based on what you are studing. Having said that, I got a scholarship for being tall for $500 dollars. I kid you not. I'm 5'10.
You didn't say what you are going to school for. If you are undecided on what you want your degree in DON"T GO TO SCHOOL. It costs too much money to play around, work until you are very sure what you want that degree in.
My daughter will be hopefully be attending college next year. The only thing holding her back would be finding scholarships. So while she may not be going after a degree in architecture - I just wanted to let you know how much this is greatly appreciated - It's always wonderful when someone shares information that could benefit so many.
Sign up for my blog. I will be putting many scholarships up geared towards black students. I am always receiving scholarship emails from my many email lists. Go to

HI Michelle,
Thank you so much. I definitely want to subscribe to your blog. I'm a little confused as to where to sign in. Is it the Google Connect on the right side of the page or the subscribe "posts" at the bottom.
I'm looking forward to reading your blog on a regular basis.
Thanks!
