How did you find BBWO?
About Me:
Hi, I graduated from Traphagen School of Fashion, NYC. I worked in the garment industry for 10 years and because of family needs I changed career paths and began working closer to home as an office assistant. I reverted to the practice of Islam in 1999. As a fahionable person I didn't find many options with garments that had style while following the Islamic dress code of modesty. So I dusted off my sewing machines a created a beautiful wardrobe for myself. Alhumdulillah! (Praise be to God) my muslim sisters' took notice and now I have a clientele of over 250 women and girls. Department stores do not carry long flowy dresses with longs sleeve so I get of orders from 3-5 garments or complete assembles. My customer base if from Connecticut down the east coast to Maryland/DC area. However, I experience burn out mode. Sometimes I'm not able to keep up and become overwhelmed. In a nut shell, I'm very much interested in how to avoid this continuous cycle of burn out. One thing I've learned is that no matter how much the customer may like you and your service, when you are not available they'll find someone else to do the job even if they have to pay more. They want what they want almost at any cost. Thank you for the opportunity and to all, much success!
