About Me:
Just a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. left the desert when I was just 17 years old to attend college in San Diego, California.While living in San Diego, I earned a BA degree from San Diego State in Social Sciences and Business Management. I am the mother of one grown daughter who a recent college graduate. And, I have been married for twenty five years. I enjoy traveling, writing, reading, theatre, film, music and spending time with my family. My magazine, The Chocolate Voice is a monthly publicaton with an emphasis on positive and informative stories. Our motto is : "focusing on stories where the voice sweetens the soul" Currently, our readership has spread to states which include; AL, California, Hawaii, New York, Oregon,Texas, Florida and, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The publication was founded by Mother and daughter as a result of having conversations about so much emphasis on negative stories particulary about the African American Community in mainstream media. Our goal is to encourage people to spread uplifting and positive information as it relates to the well of all people. We encourage and welcome personal success stories and positive events that are going on in your community. We want to share your story with the world.
