About Me:

I am a blended family (divorce/remarriage) counselor who has been an ex and a current wife (for almost 8 years). I love my husband, but being a second wife and a step-mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. We started out on shaky ground, but now we’ve formed a union that cannot be broken by ex-wives and ex-lives. My experience, research and thousands of conversations with other blended family members often challenges the traditional advice that you may have heard regarding the blended family. My advice is based on real life experience and has helped many families begin to sort through, figure out and eventually achieve peace within their own blended family units. I firmly believe that dialogue, be it positive or negative, promotes change. And, the only way blended families can begin to heal is through honesty, communication and respect. Additionally, I firmly believe that the children within the blended family deserve BOTH parents, and an environment where they are encourage to love and be loved by ALL parents; whether biological or step. I have helped many blended families and am always eager to help more adjust to this new, but very common type of family.

    The Southern Entertainment Awards, oringinally out of Nashville, at Harrahs casino in Tunica, Ms. I am nominated this yr. I need everyone support on this voting process.
