Kamal Imani
About Me:
Niva is a native of Houston and came to NYC to pursue her career as a singer. She also models, acts, dances and is a make up and hair stylist to name a few. She has performed for world reknown WNBA basketball star Sheryl Swoopes from the Houston Comets , she also opened for Tyler Perry and Sheryl Pepsi Riley’s stage play “Why Did I Get Married” and in Houston at the George R Brown Convention Center for congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee. She has opened up for hip hop artist Scarface and UGK to name a few. Her latest releases are the inspirational“I Will Make It” featuring Kamal Imani and the hot new club banger “Wanna Taste” “Pretty Butterfly” is a predicted classic soul ballad! Look out for this rising star! http://www.soundclick.com/NIVA http://www.myspace.com/officiallyniva http://www.myspace.com/kamalsupreme http://www.soulgriots.com
Just an FYI Around June of 2008 Musician, Videographer and Mentor Jonathan L of Newblackmusic.net asked Kamal to co-host his nationally syndicated television show “The Urban Mixx” which featured a true school soul vocalist named Niva who had responded to an add in Craigslist for singers that he posted. Kamal and Niva met and exchanged information. They also mutually enjoyed the video footage of the show which was posted on Youtube. Fast forward to August of 2008 and Jonathan called them in to create a song based around one of his new production songs. After 2.5 days in the studio and studying the song in between studio sessions, the result was the inspirational Hip Hop R&B chart climber “I Will Make it” which features Kamal spitting positive hip hop lyrics and speaking that uplifting word and Niva singing about how people told her that she wouldn’t amount to anything but how she kept the faith “I Will Make it”. In mid August Kamal asked Niva to dance to his song “Sister Serious” on NYC’s infamous Ron Alexander Video show. 2 of the other dancers didn’t show up, but Kamal didn’t need them anyway. Niva turned it out! Kamal then noticed how guys were approaching her in an unprofessional manner and how she had various questions that he could help her with. The result was a management agreement between the two as well as a lasting friendship. Niva and Kamal are now an unstoppable force in the music industry! Peace to my friends, fans, family and supporters, If you can give a brother and sister (Niva) a spin on Clear Channel by clicking on this link, we'd greatly appreciate it! http://ihm-ip.clearchannel.com/cc-common/artist_submission/player.html?art=184309 One Love! October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month www.nationalbreastcancer.org/default.aspx
Do use the month of September to find a way to support the Breast Cancer Movement, even if it's just to increase your knowledge.
View the Breast Cancer articles and video segments. Encourage your loved ones to schedule their mammograms for October, and remember to do Self -Examinations. Early detection is key!
Breast Cancer is not just a woman's disease; men should examine their breasts as well.
I've received TONS of requests to re-play the interview with David and Tamela Mann. She's so pretty! Well here it is...ENJOY!
