About Me:
A little about me...I am a graduate of Alabama State University, a historically black college, located in Montgomery, Alabama. I did all of my graduate work at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, where I reside now. I taught English for many years in various states across the South and in Ohio but just finished eight and a half years with a well-known publishing company. Publishing, evidently, wasn't for me because I really enjoy what I am doing now as an independent business owner. My role in publishing help to fine-tune skills such as doing presentations and designing marketing materials. I also substitute teach part time. This is a challenging undertaking as many of our children in the public schools are not acquiring what it takes to become successful. I am puzzled by whose fault it is...parents, teachers, students...enough blame to pass around, but the question is, where can we go from here? I enjoy many things that include tutoring, surfing the Net, woodworking, antiquing, reading, sports, family stuff, and,of course, walking my dog Mocha. Keeping the faith! Rugenia
