To discover tips for a successful business and network to find other black women like myself.
What's Your Business?
I am currently working on publishing my poetry and non-fiction pieces. I am set to publish my chapbook shortly and have started my own epublishing company called Imara Ushairi Publishing Co. I am in the process of developing the site and printing my book. I am also planning recording my poetry later this fall.
How did you find BBWO?
A Friend
About Me:
I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in English Literature and Afro-American Studies. I currently live and work in the Chapel Hill area and I am finally trying to develop my work for publication. I have been writing for over 10 years, occasionally have done freelance assignments, but I want to branch out now. I want to create and develop a website for my work. I've always wanted to start a black woman's writing network, an online site for black women to post their work, talk to their readers in forums and promote their work.
What are your most common online activities?
Reading entertainment blogs and writing networks.
