About Me:

My name is Kara Norman and I am a mother of two girls, ages 10 and 5. I've been married for 11 years to my wonderful husband. We live in the Atlanta area. I have longed to live a more fulfilling life in which I was able to work with women and girls. Being a part of this site is helping to make one of those a reality. I serve as a moderator for a new teen social network called EMGirls for teens ages 12-18. I also recently I partnered with a friend of mine and we are launching an empowerment group for pre-teen. Jewels is a subsidiary of G.E.M.S - Girls Empowered By Morals and Standards a charitable organization for teenage girls between the age of 13 and 17. Info about Jewels www.jewelsgirl.com Info about G.E.M.S www.gemsgirl.com Jewels was created to enrich and empower the lives of girls as they make the transition from pre-teens to teenagers. The mission of Jewels is to promote self-esteem, self-awareness, self worth and respect within the lives of young girls. Through enrichment workshops/activities, cultural awareness, community service projects, mentorship, leadership/educational programs and social activities Jewels will accomplish these goals and create confident young women who will make a difference in our world!
