About Me:
My friends would describe me as an adventurous fun loving diva whose real first love is GOD. After HIM are books, travel and spa treatments! (Although I have not traveled nearly as much as I would like to!!!!) And BTW....I am a great cook! An art lost among most women today. I eat organic..and since last December I have been a practicing Semi-Vegetarian. (I do fall off occasionally though! LOL! However; I believe you can do anything you put your mind to..... "And we know that all things work together for them who love God" Romans 8:28 I AM SECRETLY A FAN OF....Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Chocolate Covered Strawberries......And I am addicted to fitness and fashion magazines. I love Rollerblading, Shopping, Pilates, Reading Books and Writing. Close to my heart is SERVICE......... I am a member of DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY INC. (A public service sorority) I also work with at risk teenage girls. My newest endeavor is setting up a non-profit organization...called JADE that benefits young women of color... and works to establish and sustain their sense of self awareness, self esteem, and their place in the global economy........ ( Website in progress..more on JADE later...) NINE YEARS AGO...I started an organization called LIT CLIQUE. It is made up of a group of wonderful professional women from all walks of life. We read and review books, attend cultural events, and fellowship as only women can...... I am excited to report that I have written two children's books.... due to be published this year!!! I am currently working on a third book..and hope to release them all together. I also have an adult fictional novel in the works as well. OCCUPATION.......I own several of my own businesses. They each represent parts of my creative side. "Multiple streams of revenue" is my motto. "It's never too late to be what you might have been" (George Eliot) I have two cats... Who I love...they are my children. (they are in my photo section) And Finally....I like to interact with Positive, Warm, Creative, Artistic people who care about the world and others in it. I'd like to meet and talk with people who are about doing things to uplift the community and themselves. People who realize that we are not guaranteed tomorrow, and that God put us on this earth for a purpose...so let's not sit around...Let's make it happen!
