About Me:
My name is Patricia Neely-Dorsey. I am from Tupelo, MS. I have just recently published a book of poetry entitled "Reflections of a Mississippi Magnolia: a Life in Poems. It is a true "celebration of the south and things southern". There are so many negative connotations associated with Mississippi and the south in general. I want to show a flip side of the coin. There is much to love about this much maligned and misunderstood part of our country. Using childhood memories, personal thoughts and dreams, I attempt to give a positive glimpse into the southern way of life. I would like for you to get to KNOW Mississippi in a different light and I would like to introduce you. I invite you to "Meet Mississippi Through Poetry Prose and The Written Word" I am a graduate of Boston University in Boston Massachusetts with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I moved back to my hometown in August 2007, after living for almost 20 yrs in Memphis, TN working in the mental health field.I am now working even harder to promote my book and get it out to the world. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I have been married to James Dorsey for 15 yrs and we have a 9 yr old son, Henry . My book is available at Reed's Gumtree Bookstore and The Village Green Bookstore in Tupelo, MS . ORDER ONLINE: www.reeds.ms/books.asp $15
