Serenity Women's Circle is a nonprofit organization founded by women for women. We provide special programs in order to empower, educate, and serve the entire population of Mississippi. We especially dedicate ourselves to reach out to women and children due to the high percentage of women and children issues in the state of Mississippi. Serenity members are here to help us carry out our mission and become positive role models for women and children.

    I have recently lost 90 pounds. I was featured in the USA Today for my accomplishments (Issue on 3/30). It is a second job to learn to eat and understand nutrition. My goal is to show women that good nutrition is essential for themselves and their children. I instill this knowledge in my day care. My children and I eat holistically. Although everyone does not need to go to this extent, it is essential we learn the basics. In light of that, I am part of the Georgia Assoc of Young Children. As a participant, and possible presenter, I have a voice to share my story and articulate good nutrition plans to child care providers and directors.
