  • Hi Carla... Sure! The very first tip is to find out what you love! Eventhough you aren't into decorating, your decor should reflect your Soul & Style. Determine the colors that you love and which design style best represents you. To begin, get a few home decor magazines and tear from it pictures of things that you find interesting or beautiful; whole rooms, accessories, fabrics, colors, etc. - whatever you immediately connect with. Go to your closet, see what colors are most represented there. Many times that's a clue to your color preferences. You will begin to unearth your authentic style and that will be a great starting point. Put those pictures in a small binder or file folder and if you desire to make any changes in your decor, go there for inspiration. I call it a "Soul-Style File". Since you're not particularly into decorating, you can then share the information that you collect with a design professional. You might also want to sign up for my Soulful Sanctuaries Newsletter which will also provide you with additional information that you might find helpful.

I'm considering taking my training classes on the road - perhaps MD will be one of my stops! I'll need to test the market to see if there is any interest. What is the most widely read publication for women in your area? My target is multicultural, and any information that you can share would certainly be appreciated. Thank you Carla!

    Soulfully & Decoratively,
    Cheryl
