  • Hi Mindy!

Just reaching out to you and other sisters in the DC Metro area to invite you to the first annual Black Women's Wellness Day on Friday, May 22nd at the Bowie Public Library, 1:30-5:00pm. I would it if you could come out to support this wonderful event!

More details are at http://bwwday.eventbrite.com/. I am offering discounted tickets to sisters in my netowrks. For a discounted ticket ($15.00), visit http://bwwday.eventbrite.com/?discount=dcw02ss .

Black Women's Wellness Day is a wellness event for sisters who want to take their health to the next level and start a new legacy free of chronic illness and disease. The event is also in honor of my mother Roberta Peyton who passed on May 22, 2006 from heart disease at the age of 64. Her passing has inspired me to be a voice of change for Black Women's Health in the way that I can.

Finally, it is a great networking opportunity.

I hope you can join us and hope to connect with you soon.

    Be well,

    Lisa Peyton-Caire

  • Hi Mindy,

Welcome to this wonderful site. I hope you enjoy your networking experience.

Please check out this month issue of The Adventist Times www.theadventisttimes.com/.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month www.nationalbreastcancer.org/default.aspx

Do use the month of September to find a way to support the Breast Cancer Movement, even if it's just to increase your knowledge.

View the Breast Cancer articles and video segments. Encourage your loved ones to schedule their mammograms for October, and remember to do Self -Examinations. Early detection is key!

Breast Cancer is not just a woman's disease; men should examine their breasts as well.

I've received TONS of requests to re-play the interview with David and Tamela Mann. She's so pretty!
    Well here it is...ENJOY!
