I've always been a thinker/brainstormer, full of ideas, dreams, goals, but then I always hit a brick wall when it comes to making all my ideas realized. I'm like a child; I want to do everything. I'm passionate about so many things, I have so many interests, so many ideas, its hard sometimes to settle on just one.Do I even really have to settle for only one idea? Maybe there is a reason I have so many ideas; perhaps my destiny is to fulfill them all. Bu at the moment, I would like to move past this hurdle I seem to always come across. I never am able, it seems, to move into the implementation phase. I think, talk, write and dream, but never start. What could be holding me back?I think that the fear of rejection is my biggest obstacle at this point. What if my idea doesn't catch on? What if people think my idea is dumb? My family is part of the reason I see things that way. Often we have discussions about possible businesses to start, but then someone always brings an aire of doubt that kills the confidence and enthusiasm. That plague of doubt has manifested itself into my thought patterns, and I defeat myself before I've even begun. I feel trapped and stuck, and that is very discouraging, because my heart is so into it.So if any of my BBWO sistas are out there reading this post, how did you/do you/will you move past the fear and doubt? How do you make yourself just jump out there and take the plunge? I understand that it will be difficult for me to ever succeed if I am not willing to risk something, but I'm afraid.
I am so proud of you for taking the first step and admitting / expressing your fears. I am also a budding entrepreneur and the best advice I can give is to pass along what I recently heard Joyce Meyer say during one of her sermons, "Do It Afraid". Don't wait for the fear to subside before you make a move. Don't wait for all the circumstances to be perfect before take that first leap. Also, while I am sure that your family loves you sooooo soooo much, only you can decide on which dream to follow. As far as being gifted with many ideas, thank God for all those wonderful ideas, write them down so you don't forget, decide on which one to do first and then go forward. That is ultimatley how I began to see success in my own efforts. I crunched the numbers and they were promising. I put my idea before God and He approved. I asked myself if it is something I would do for free and it was. My idea met all of my own criteria so I did it afraid.
My area of expertise is money and one of the lessons I learned very quickly is that if you are not confident in yourself, the people you serve will not respect the wisdom and help you have to offer. I don't know what your ideas are but whichever one you choose to go forward with, do it confidently, execute it in excellence and be persistant in your efforts and you will surely succeed.
