Email Marketing
Email is still the most effective form of marketing and relationship building. It's a tremendous tool for building the kind of long-term relationship that allows you to convert sales. While many have concluded that the same thing cannot be said for social media relationships, you can and should view your connections in these networks as a way to gain more email relationships.
Referral Champs
By comparing your customer referral data with your social media data, you can often discover your more active and potentially influential customers and prospects. A customer who currently does not buy from you that much may turn out to be your greatest potential referral champion, but they may go unnoticed and therefore ungroomed without looking.
Know Your Customers
You need to dig deep and really find out what makes your customers tick on all levels. That means knowing what their interests and hobbies are, what events they love to attend, their favorite music and TV shows, and how much they love reading to their kids. You might guess where this is headed: What do people on social media love to do? Talk about what they had for lunch and how they can further build their business. So it just might be important after all to really know your customers and potential customers.
Article Writing
Great content isn't great until somebody reads it, shares it, and links to it. It’s almost like the popular kids in high school, but that’s just the reality of inbound marketing today. It’s not enough to produce lots of content; you've got to get people talking about it and bringing attention to it.
Blogging, Blogging, Blogging ...
One of my favorite uses of the social media layer is the ability to draw closer to other bloggers that cover your industry or community. Today’s bloggers rely on social media as a lifeline to real-time information and as a tool for collecting resources; it also makes them much more available through direct communication. By targeting key bloggers and using the social layer to build a relationship as a resource, you can quickly enhance your overall chances of media coverage.
Sometimes our self-confidence is shaken when we make decisions that are not supported by family, friends or people we respect. When we feel that we are by ourselves regarding our choices, it is important to apply the universal law of cause and effect. Acknowledging others rights to their opinions opens the way for us to receive the same treatment. The adage shows itself over and over, what you do unto others will be done unto you.
Remember you can create the life you want to live by your actions. Being gentle and loving yourself is the way to bring that behavior into your life from others. Although it may not feel apparent, life supports you. The universal order of life does support you. This may sound airy-fairy, but it is a real and important principle to believe in when feeling challenged. Understanding that everyone has a right to live and think as he or she chooses removes the emotional conviction that others opinions are personal attacks. Each adult is their life decision maker, and one’s opinion does not overthrow anyone else’s choice.
Your ability to hold this idea and conduct yourself on this principle will govern others manners when engaging or having a relationship with you.
Valuing yourself is a requirement for a successful life. Lacking self-worth is mirrored back to us through our personal and work relationships. The characteristics of caring and respecting yourself are reflected in how you address other people’s degrading and dismissive attitudes. Life already supports you; you are here. The statement, "you are an accident", is only an attempt to devalue your existence. It is your primary responsibility to embrace and love yourself.
Sometimes we allow the opinions of others to reign over our internal voice. That is a sign that we need to stop and remember what is important to us. Getting clear about the way you choose to live your life and what you value gives you the strength to make seemingly hard choices. You regret less when your actions are decided from how you choose to be in this world. Living this way opens you to new ideas and activates your potential.
Aiming for a successful life based on your values can sometimes feel like a struggle but the end results are worth it. Gaining self-confidence is the practice of making and moving forward with your decisions that are founded on what is important to you. Every opportunity you have to apply this principle will help you become self-confident authentically.

Have you ever been on Facebook and you saw an interesting article or link as you are scrolling down your timeline but you don't have time to look at it? Perhaps you saw an event and now you can't find it! Well... Facebook has added a new "save" feature for posts that include links, videos or Facebook events.
To save a post, click on the downward arrow to the top right of the post (move your mouse over the area and the arrow will become visible). A drop down menu will appear and "save" will be in the list! Once you click this option & save the post, it will be kept in the "Saved" section on the home page of Facebook ( over to the left hand side).
The save option does NOT work for:
Tip: Let your customers, clients and potential prospects know that they can save your link posts for later when they have more time to review it or to share it!

It may come as a surprise to know that PowerPoint is still a powerful tool AND it offers another easy way to create social media images!
As you may be aware, Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites don't allow you to upload a PowerPoint slide/presentation however ANY PowerPoint slide can be saved as a JPEG or PNG. Just click on Save As, and then select JPEG or PNG from the Save as Type drop-down menu.
PowerPoint then asks if you want to export every slide or just the current slide. Select Current Slide Only, and you have an image file of your PowerPoint slide. If you’re comfortable using PowerPoint, take advantage of this capability to create social media images, images for your blog or website.

Author Tip #1: If your book is available in e-Book format you should promote that! e-Book readers are surpassing other readers because of the availability & easy access on digital devices such as smart phones and tablets. Make sure you post a direct link to where YOUR e-Book can be purchased & downloaded!
Author Tip #2: There are many book clubs that have Facebook groups and Facebook pages. Do a little research and connect with book clubs that have readers who would be interested in your book. Offer them a free preview chapter!
Author Tip #3 - Ensure that you utilize your Facebook cover image to your advantage by adding a graphic that includes your book cover or the title of your book! When someone visits your personal or author page, they should know right away that you are a published author. Don't make them hunt for this information!
