  • Neither. Both are performances and can be staged to go either way.

I think watching people when they don't know that you are watching them.
  • Excellent question, and somewhat ambigious--I would say definitely both! However, thinking back to a recent personal experience in dealing with someone who is very close to me I might say their Reactions. I say reactions only because when a person is reacting, its usually under some type of pressure or stress, therefore that's when the "claws" of a person is more likely to come out. This is when people might act on and say something that they have been meditating on for along time (some might call it their "true feelings"). Then again is it fair to say that we gain a clearer picture of a person when they perceive that they are backed into a corner per se, and thus react in a manner that is usually uncharacteristic of the person? I guess at that point it would depend on the person's response to their own behavior after having time to thing about what they have done or said...do they display any insight about the impact of their behavior, are the open to correction or feedback, are they remorseful or apologetic, and if so is it sincere and genuine or is it just for show?

    Again great question!
