Now that the Olympics has come to an end and I'msure everyone was glued to their tv sets, ofcourse while sending messages to your BlackBusiness Women friends.A lot of us watched the Democratic NationalElections and heard Barack Obama speak. It hadbeen 45 years since Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.addressed the crowds of thousands to give hisfamous and undying speech delivered on the stepsat the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. onAugust 28, 1963.Hurricane Gustav made landfall last week. While some of us enjoyed Labor Day festivities andbar-b-que dinners some were escaping the wilds ofthe heavy rain and strong winds. We watched the Republican NationalConvention with John McCain speaking and alsosaying Change is coming to Americans. We have been blessed to see another week and we all have ourindividual agendas so back 2 the basics we go.While going back 2 the basics let's remember tosay a special prayer for our family ~ our lineage. How far around your family tree can you go?You may not know each person by name but say a prayerfor your family; spouse, children, parents, grand parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close & distantcousins. You never know what is going on at anotherrelatives home or what they may be going through;sickness, low or no finances, mental conditions, children going astray, etc.The holidays are quickly approaching and we need tobe prayerful for those that may not have as much as others.Saying a little prayer can go a long way...Be blessed and seek His face daily, Gina
I was automatically grateful of this Gina as I had made you aware of my situation. Then to pray for everyone was a total lift for me. We need more of that caring and closeness. I believe you call it basics. :o)
