Our parents, grandparents and great grandparents -- against the backdrop of a devastating global economic depression and two World Wars -- created and implemented plans that sustained our families. Under the most difficult set of circumstances -- and for some, against all odds -- our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents -- went about the business of keeping our families together, putting food on the table and positively shaping the minds and souls of their children.Despite hardships, disappointments, dreams deferred and broken, and frustrations created by external factors beyond their control, our parents, grandparents and great grandparents remained committed to each other and to the families they created. Their resilient spirit was buoyed by a strong sense of hope.It was a strong sense of hope that dulled the excruciating pain that accompanied their countless and selfess sacrifices for us. In their own unique way, they instilled in each of us a sense of hope and the ability to overcome our struggles.Hope and the ability to persevere are the most empowering, enduring and precious gifts that one can give.Cherish the Gift Of Hope. And pass it on!
