Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience,(and) for training in righteousness(in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action). 2 Timothy 3: 16The Bible says that we will reap what we sow..If we want our days to go right, we need to do whatever God tells us to do. If we don't walk in obedience, then we can't complain if we wind up in a mess..Obedience brings the fruit of the Spirit in your life. Oh my...talk about being obedient to His word. Do I have a testimony to tell. I'm in total agreement to this post! If you haven't truly experienced the fruit of the Spirit from being obedient, I hope this testimony inspires you.
I was disobedient for such a long time and I truly did end up in a mess--no one's fault but my own. God inspired me to tell the Truth after reading the words in the book of Haggai. I kept putting it off. I had every excuse known to man...no money, no time, you know the usual hogwash. Eventually, every turn I made lead me know where and then I lost my job. With my last check I didn't pay my rent, I didn't buy food, I didn't do anything I would normally do for the month. Instead, I took every last penny and invested it into my website named from Haggai 2:19 "Is the seed yet in the barn?" www.seedstothebarns.org.
With nothing but time on my hands, it took me about 40 days to get it all set up and I started promoting it in August. At the same time I had to move from my rental, back home with my mom. Most would say its failure in a sense and they would express empathy for me and I would immediately express to them my gratitude and tell them "no...I've done away with the old and have put on the new. To give up what you have to do God's will is to gain life more abundantly."
I stepped out on FAITH and He directed me to the rental office of my mothers apartment complex to sign her lease at the right time. They needed a Leasing Consultant, that desk was empty; so, I inquired, applied and was hired the next day. I learned during the interview, you get an apartment to accommodate you and your family included as part of your salary! What a blessing! I don't have to pay rent! I walk to work with no travel expenses -- especially with the price of gas. I'm there in two minutes! Three quarters of your salary is housing, taxes and travel to-and-from work expenses. Now, I'm able to pay off debt and invest in my website to empower others to sow seeds for their harvest!
God is so wonderful! Once I yield to Him, He eliminated all the excuses I had clung to previously as reasons for not fulfilling His vision for me. He continues to direct my path and answers my questions through many means--cause I'm truly a "babe" learning as I go.
No matter what He asks of you...be of good FAITH. Know that its the right thing to do with ALL conviction understanding He makes the impossible possible!
