Entering its ninth consecutive year, the Miller Urban Entrepreneurs Series (MUES) continues to expand and evolve. Providing opportunities to win one of four $25,000 business grants or the grand prize $50,000 grant, aspiring entrepreneurs—tomorrow’s business moguls—can take their businesses to the next level. To date, Miller has awarded nearly one million dollars in grant money to viable businesses.The two-part MUES program, consists of a Business Plan Competition and Seminar Series, which this year has morphed into a Webinar series, as Miller continues to change with the times, reaching the next generation of urban entrepreneurs through viral communication methods. Webinar topics will include: "Putting a Brilliant Idea to Paper: Developing a Workable Business Plan"; "You Do the Math: Understanding Your Financials"; and "Inc. Versus LLC: Choosing the Right Legal Structure".Entries can be submitted beginning this July and the deadline for entries is 5:00 p.m. CST, December 1st.
