It occurs when we begin to think more highly of ourselves than we should. We start believing the false notion that we should get special attention or treatment because of who we are and what we have accomplished.The Word of God tells us that pride only breeds contention. Therefore, we must refuse to let pride be a part of our lives. If we would remember that it is God, and not us, who is the source of all that we achieve, then we would never succumb to pride and its trappings.
