I am one of two self-published authors being profiled today on The Brown Bookshelf as part of their 28 Days Later Campaign: a month long Black History celebration of children's literature. I was chosen to share the spotlight with 27 other talented African-American authors and illustrators, many of whom have numerous awards, one of whom wrote the book Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.
