One of the great gifts given by God to us is the Bible. The Bible is the word of God. Reading your Bible daily forms a life-long relationship with our creator.

There will be some that say, “I don’t have time to read”, or “I don’t understand what I’m reading”. Do me a favor and try something different. Follow along reading the Bible while listening to an audio version. It is amazing how quickly you can read the Bible, and how easily you understand what you are reading when you follow along as someone else reads.

Just try it. Go to YouVersion.com. The YouVersion.com website offers the Bible in many different versions and languages online and in audio absolutely free.

Select “Reader” under the “Bible” tab. Then choose a version you would like to read. If you find the King James Version too difficult to follow, I have found a version I know you will like. Select the Contemporary English Version. Then click on the browse button and select a book and chapter.

Now here is the cool part. To the right you will see the words “Audio Bible”. Find the audio version titled “English – Contemporary English Version (African American Speakers)”. Press play and read the Bible as the recorded voice on the audio reads to you.
