My other had surgery to remove the tumor and was told that it would be tested. Unfortunately she still tested positive for cancer and had another surgery and again it came back positive. So, my mother ended up having the mastectomy, making her fourth surgery within a month. To make matters worse, after the surgery, she had to go back for surgery the next day for one thing and they discovered a blood clot, which they removed! God has the final authority; He says in His Word that by the stripes of Jesus Christ we are already healed! My mother went back for her follow-up appointment and she is now cancer FREE!!! Glory to God!! My mother told me that she NEVER had any physical pain and not one time had to take any medication for pain!! All I can say is but God!!! Amen!!
I am more aware now than I have ever been since my mother went through this experience. At the age of 53, I had my first mammogram because I allow fear to prevent me from going. I was told that it would take about a week for the results, but I got a call the very next name and had to go back for further testing. All the tests came back negative but I have to go back in 6 mouths to make sure nothing has changed because I have some calcification.
It is so important to have regular breast exam and yearly mammograms. Early detection is key to your survival. It literally saved my mother's life. It was detected early!
