BrawleyDescription: This is a community empowerment and improvement project designed to restore and rejuvenate neighborhoods by uniting residents, law enforcement and local churches. This block party for the West End neighborhood will include a clean-up, improvement and beautification effort along with entertainment, activities and food.Purpose: The purpose of this event is to unite the community in an effort to;• Clean-up the West End neighborhood• Paint a mural and plant flowers for beautification• Restore a sense of pride for residents• Unite residents, students, churches, and local non-profits• Inform residents of local resources• Provide assistance for people in need• Create a platform for communication with law enforcement• Provide a day with free and safe activities for children
Hey Ms Belinda I just read your blog and was very impressed with the work your ministry is doing for the inner city. My church here in ohio does similar things like annual book bag giveawys, clothing & furniture giveaways, gospel concerts, literary events and a whole host of fundraisers. Keep up the good work.
