Creating Opportunities through Wine

It is a typical Saturday night at a local coffee shop. There are people in line ordering their lattes with biscotti. Others are seated at tables feverishly typing away on their laptops and still there are others huddled together engaged in deep conversations. That is the beauty of coffee shops; they attract an eclectic mix of people, who are lovers of good conversation and great coffee beans. However, lovers of the bean are not the only patrons this typical Saturday night. Also in attendance were lovers of the grape, also known as oenophiles or wine lovers. These lovers of all things grape are not sipping wine and exchanging tasting notes. They are there to spread the word about the Drink Well Do Good Tour. What is the Drink Well Do Good Tour? The Drink Well Do Good Tour is a 14 city global series of wine tastings, cultural exhibitions and concerts. Proceeds from this tour will be used to build a training and development center for South African vintners on the M’Hudi estate. The M’Hudi estate is a vineyard owned by the Rangaka family. This is the only vineyard in South Africa owned by a black family. What is better than doing something enjoyable (drinking wine) and providing educational opportunities for others at the same time?
