My friends over at the Blogrollers are running a very interesting campaign and have asked me to help spread the word.

Promethean, the global leader in interactive education technology solutions, is conducting The ActivClassroom Film Festival Video Contest for teachers that effectively and creatively use Promethean ActivBoards, Learner Response Systems or ActivInspire software in their classrooms to bring learning to life!

Just in case you don't know what Promethean Boards are, you can read all about them right here. In our school system we call them "White Boards". They are used in a lot of classrooms in our elementary, middle and high schools. I myself am fascinated by them. The kids love them. I believe that the interaction with the kids using the white board in their classrooms is awesome and gets the kids moving around as opposed to just sitting at their desk listening.

My son who has autism benefits from using this board as it's hands on and that makes things easier for him to understand. He's always eager to go onto the board and show me something that he has learned. You can also use it the old fashioned by by writing on the board with a marker and then cleaning it off with a paper towel. (How green is that). It can also be used as a projector screen.
