Today I received a very interesting and informative email from one of the Online Marketing Newsletters I subscribe to.

What really caught my eye was the subject of the email "Go To McDonald's and Learn How To Market"

I know you are probably thinking the same thing I thought, why go to McDonald's to Learn How To Market my business?

I wrote down some key points to share with you today.

Have you ever tasted a McDonald's hamburger? Of course you have. I must tell you, there's nothing special about their ingredients or the taste.

I bet you could make a much better hamburger than McDonald's with your eyes closed and one hand tied behind your back but as you can see, McDonald's is one of the most successful and well known fast food franchises in the world.

Well It's not the food McDonald's sells that makes them so dang successful. It's their MARKETING that makes you have Big Mac attacks on a regular basis.

It doesn't matter how incredible marvelous and eye catching your product is. It doesn't matter how cheap the price is or how outstanding the customer service is.

If you don't know how to be a marketer, you're not going to move any of your products.


50 years ago if you tried using the ancient marketing relics like passing out business cards or brochures, putting ads on craigslist, house parties, setting up booths at swap meets, friends and family, etc - those techniques world have worked because back then network marketing was considered to be a personal touch game.

With today's advanced technology, modern marketing techniques are 20 times much faster and efficient and can be done without you ever leaving home.

You did join a "home based business" right? In my opinion it'll also be more fun!

There Are 3 Critical Components You Need To Learn To Market Your Business In Today's World.

1) You need to have prospects approaching YOU - This marketing component is done through POSITIONING and is absolutely mandatory to have true marketing success.

There are millions of people out there looking for the benefits of your products or services daily. It doesn't matter what field you're in. Health and Wellness, Legal Services, Telecom, Travel, Online Shopping etc.

You need to make sure you put yourself in the path of those that reach out so that they'll approach YOU asking for info.

2) You need to BECOME AN EXPERT in the marketplace when it comes to the product and/or service you are selling. For example, lowering cholesterol, weight loss, travel legal services, etc.

You would go to Michael Jordan because you know he's an expert in basketball or you'd go to Donald Trump because he's an expert in real estate right? They are experts in their fields.

I promise you'll have to beat prospects off you with a stick once you've established your expertise around your products and services. I'll discuss more on how to do this in future blogs HERE.

3) You need to MASTER COMMUNICATION with your audience using 3 key marketing vehicles. The telephone, the internet and the written word.

It doesn't matter what products or services you market or what marketing tools you decide to use. The telephone, web sites, blogs, emails, etc.

Mastering these 3 key forms of communication will help you get prospects and turn your prospects into clients and team members.

The bottom line is YOUR prospects will search for you to based on the knowledge you have to help them!
