Decisions (1)

The Warning Signs

In this journey called “life”, God has provided landmarks and signs to help us reach our destination. There are signs of right and wrong directions; we see dead-end and wrong turn symbols, detours, and yield and stops signs that tell us where we are, where we have been, and where we are going. Are we paying attention?Suffering is inevitable, and as we continue our life on earth, we will encounter sadness or a loss of some kind. The tragedies and negative events we experience in life can either cripple our future or make us strong. There are ranges of active and undergoing changes, which may cause one to lose his way in life. A simple missing or making of a wrong turn, following the wrong directions, a failure to read the road signs, or just simply having insufficient information regarding the destination could all lead to one thing—not arriving at the expected end or at the appointed time.Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has an expected end for each of us. Despite the low points and rock bottom seasons we undergo, instead of blaming the Lord for the layout or pattern of the journey, we should take responsibility for the decisions we make and resist the opportunity for blaming others for where we are.Even the sailor knows that someday he will face turbulent weather. It is his responsibility to train and exercise caution and to know the warning signs. Likewise, the designated driver is also responsible for knowing and reviewing the course of his journey. But failure to recognize or obey the signs of the road could lead to fatal or regrettable consequences. When we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts, we are very much like the designated driver or sailor. We are given the keys to life and a road map called the Bible. During the course, we learn to recognize the various signs of the road and explore unfamiliar territory, but we are also subject to hazardous conditions, unpredictable weather, and the various changes of the speed limit.Failure to comply with the rules of our spiritual journey will often times take us off course, which will lead us to physical and spiritual dead-ends or somewhere in a back alley. Impatience, disobedience, ignorance, and self-will are the acts that hinder us from attaining our goals. Are we paying attention?Tilt your heart towards the SON!Pastor Narda GoodsonFirst Lady of Whitewright, TexasOfficial Website: http://anointedarrowsproductions.org\Social Network: http://christianwomenpredestinedbygod.ning.com/Copyright 2008 Gospel "PiLLs".
