Dear Crafters and Small Business Owners:I was recently approached by a good friend of mine whose husband is in the National Guard. Periodically they ask local businesses for donations for different events they host during the year. This year they decided to host a Basket Social to help raise funds for their Family Readiness group. The Family Readiness Group is a group of military family member that work together to help the soldiers and their families. That being said, I would like to do something for them. I will be donating a handbag for the raffle. I would also like to donate a basket full of items from other home run businesses. If anyone is able to donate to the basket I am making up, please email me at Michaela@mylasbags.com. This will be a great way for you to advertise your business and also a way to give back to those who are off fighting in Iraq. Please see her request below.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi all,I have attached a document for you to review and forward on to the appropriate people to see if our Unit can get help with donations for an upcoming event. Our Family Readiness Group is a Non-profit organization, and all donations would be tax deductible. Also if you know of any other businesses or people that would be interested in participating or even attending, please feel free to forward this to them.Oh, when we set out the baskets, any information for display and advertising purposes will go along with that basket. We will also make an announcement as to who donated the basket/door prize or what have you. Thanks so much in advance for all of your efforts and support.CandyBasket Social Letter for Donation 5.23.09.pdf
