REPOST: Is Your Life Invaluable

Hi Ladies, I was stumbling across my blog and found one of my favorite post and thought I would share.

Enjoy!!

I was listening to a sermon from Joel Olsteen; another powerful message and I just wanted to pass it along. Is your life invaluable and are you suffering from Destination Disease? Destination Disease is when you reach a point of your life and your just basically staying right there.

Did you get a promotion and then a year later you are still sitting right there in the same position? If you go on vacation tomorrow will you be missed from your job? What is meant by missed, is will the office be in such disarray that they need you there? If not could you replaced or laid of tomorrow? Did you get your degree and the position you hoped for and you havent opened a book since you left high school or college.

They say TV Guide is the most read magazine of the year and that 50% of people when they graduate school dont read. What is wrong with that picture? It is important that each day we continue to learn to make ourselves better. Learning should not be a period of your life. Life should be a learning experience. Each year you should set personal goals and set out to accomplish them. I challenge you to make a personal development plan.

Write out a personal development plan and use your thought process to make a plan on how you will get to your destination. If your not sure where to start a mentor or coach might be a great solution. Your probably thinking you dont need a coach or mentor. I beg to differ, I think you should find good mentors who have been where you were and are where you are trying to go, Tiger Woods has a coach even as great as he is in his career, he has a personal trainer and coach that help him reach and realize his full potential.

Go to seminars once or twice of years with others in your field, you want to be around other people in your field that you can share ideas with. Find someone in your field and study them, the more you know about them the better chance you have to duplicate the system.

You have to realize if you havent already that your time is invaluable and should not be wasted by hanging with people who are hindering your growth or wasting their time not growing anywhere. If they are constantly complaining about their past and current life situation let me tell you again that destination disease is contagious.

Also, dont associate with what I call haters those who tell you dreams are impossible, call you a book worm, nerd, etc. the same people when you reach your goals will be calling you boss, CEO of your own business or they have their hands out. Associate with people who empower or inspire you. Your time is invaluable you need a good foundation to build your life on. Just make the most of what time you have.

God will bring the right people in your life at the right time, and Hell also allow the right people to leave at the right time to bring you to your God given destiny.

Whats your plan for potential growth? It can be very simple such as:
Mediate the first 20 minutes of the day
Listen to a teaching CD on your next 20-minute car drive
Meet up with my mentor twice a month
Turn off the TV 20 minutes earlier tonight to read a book

In the coming days you will have opportunities presented in your life but you have to be prepared. Make a decision to learn something everyday and the right people will come into your life and god will take you places you never dreamed of.
