When I created my own social network, Black Business Women Online, my initial intention was to simply network with other women in business. However, over 5,000 members later and the BBWO Space has turned into so much more. Having created a space that works for my target I quickly began to see my sales increase along with the visibility of my primary business.
For me, the key to social networking success is creating a niche-specific space that you are interested in, being as active as you want your members to be, and always working to create a quality space with great content. Between ad sales, direct sales, and a constant influx of customer questions, my social network has benefited me in more ways than one. And the best part is that my members love it too and credit it to be one of the few places they can really connect with other women entrepreneurs of color.
I turned my Social Networking Success Story into an eBook to help other new network creators. Download my eBook: Create Your Own Ningalicious Network
