  • Make a DECISION to succeed in life.

Joshua said, as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord.

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods whom your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
    (Joshua 24:15)

You cannot continue to follow the world’s standards of living and God’s way. The two are diametrically opposed. You must DECIDE which standard you will follow. Remember, there is a consequence for the decision you make.

Determination means to make a firm decision to do something.

DETERMINATION requires stability of the mind, emotions, and spirit. Once you make a decision to follow Jesus Christ, you will not allow anyone or anything to cause you to turn back and follow the worldly standards of living. You will follow Christ, regardless of the cost.

“No man having put his hand to the plow, and looks back to the things behind is fit for the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:2)

God desires for ALL of His children to move forward. When you plough land, you are constantly taking steps forward; you are focused on forward movement (pressing forward to the next step); never looking back.

  • Look in the mirror at the end of your day and say to yourself..."I achieved so much today, my day was a success"
Even if you only completed one task for the day, you made it to the end of the day and you can count your blessings. If you need to see it in black and white, make a list of all that you have done today, even if it's walking.
