I am glad for those that got to see this event and experience the melding of humanity. As a former insider of Capitol Hill I can tell all of you that the words of Dr. King kept wispering in my head as I watched this event. In one speech he spoke the words that "there are some difficult days ahead." These words could not be more phophetic and true at the same time with the current state of our country. "I pray that one day a person will be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." This could not be more true with this election and installation of the first truely African American as President of our country. "I Have A Dream" The words in that speech have come to pass and now we as a people and as a nation must not let humanity down.We MUST uphold the truth and and act upon the words. We have now seen generations of all ages wake up from their slumber, wipe off the cobb webs of inequity, injustice, racism, sexism, despair, and degredation. We are now OBLIGATED to enebreate them all with the tools to reshape america, to reform the minds of the world to enact upon the task that is before us. We must show the world that we as a nation has changed for the better. With this grand inaugural event that has taken place we must "hold these truths to be self evident" that indeed finally all men and women are created equal. We have so far given those that are watching us from a distance that we do indeed have an Audacity to Hope and the Audacity to make sure this nation rises up to the call.We must all do our part. This is no longer a black issue it has become a national cause beyond the rainbow.
