One of my favorite old hymns is, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", a simple song, that says so much. To think...He's a friend that never leaves you...even when others have turned their backs on you, when you don't know where to turn, when you lie in bed at night, your pillow covered with tears...He's there. No matter how hard you try...you can't get rid of Him. You may try to run from Him, hide from Him in the world, or turn your back on Him...but He's still always there, because He loves you so much, and has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. I'm so glad He's my friend, or as one of my little granddaughters say, "Jesus is my bestest friend"...He's mine, too.Scripture for the Day:"Jesus said, 'You are my friends if you do what I command."
