I’ve been asked before why I didn’t have ads on my blog and my answer was always that I do this for the fun of it and it my portfolio site. Since then the focus of this blog has changed. Deciding if I should monetize my blog as a way to bring in some additional income has been weighting heavy on my mind for quite some time.

I looked into Google Adsense and Buysellads.com and got denied (*in my best Suze Orman voice*) for both. Don’t know why I got denied for the BuySellAds but as far as Google Adsense I apparently had signed up long ago (probably as an school assignment during one my web class) and since I no longer have access to the email or domain name I couldn’t gain access to the acct and Google was of no help.
About three months ago I decided to give it another try. This time around I started experimenting with Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is when I make a commission by selling someone else’s products/services. From my research I know that there is no over night success when it comes to Affiliate Marketing. Plus I don’t want to promote just any old thing just to make a buck.
