Febuary Gemlore
Certain stones have traditionally been associate with months of the year. This came about after the breastplate of a high-priest was discovered in Egypt containing these 12 stones. According to tradition, Hebrews took the 12 stones and assigned each one to represent thier 12 tribes of Israel.
Amethyst and Onxy are the birthstones for the month of Febuary.
Amethyst is a crystalline variety of quartz found inside the geodes of volcanic rock. It is considered to be the stone of spirituality and contentment, with calming qualities for meditation.
Onyx part of the chalcedony family of minerals. It is consitered to be the stone of strength, bringing about stamina as well as self-confidence, and helping us to focus the mind.

Keys to Creating the Life you Love

These days more and more people are drawn to the idea of getting out of the rat race. I am meeting more people that are striving to live thier lives by design, rather than by default. Here are a few ideas to help you create the life you love as an answer to the call to live your soul's purpose.
- Practice living in the NOW. This moment is all we really have. Anytime we are stuck in the past or focused on the future, we may find that we are not present in the Now and missing out on precious moments.
- Posess and attitude of gratitude. Many of you may have had the opportunity to view or read The Secret, which talks about the Law of Attraction. This principle is not new of course. There are many Biblical passages that speak on this subject. The gist of it is this, what you tend to focus on expands. If you are mired in negativity, you are going to attract more negativity and of course the same applies to the positve things you focus on in your life. The first thing to help turn that around is to BE GRATEFUL. That may seem easier said than done but it can be the beginning of turning things around.
- Selfless Service. Helping others is an awesome way to spread your light.
These are just a few keys to get us to thinking about creating a life we love. There will certainly be more to follow.
