Hello community,

You must advertise!!!!

What to advertise with and where is always the perplexing question, since you can not spend the

same dollar twice.

I have found a simple and effective way to identify when advertising method works best for you, is to use a product that provides the benefits of both direct mail and print.

See with direct mail, you have your readers attention.

With Print you are sharing the readers attention ( actually you are trying to capture the readers attention from the other advertisers).

Which method should I use. I suggest both in one.

Take your advertisement and "build" it like a direct mail piece. Then place your ad in a print publication.

This is a great way to test ( umm you do test your ad copy, right? ) a direct mail piece effectiveness before you do a mass mailing. You can let the print pub "act" as one mailer. The print pub will reach many. Based on that response you can decide which method would be best for you.

Direct mail can be very costly!!

Print publishing help you minimize that cost

Keep this in mind, the "rules " of advertising do not change for either delivery method.

Using to print publishing to refine your advertising piece will increase the effectiveness of

your direct mail method.

BLACK WOMEN AT THE 2016 RIO OLYMPICS

2016 RIO OLYMPICS- A SHOWCASE FOR U.S. BLACK WOMEN

So did you see the Black women athletes from the U.S.A. “show up and show out” at the Rio Olympics?  These women were real examples of the greatness of this country.  Black women won gold medals in gymnastics, water polo, shot put, boxing, the 100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 4x100 relay, 4x400 relay, and of course, basketball.

What was most impressive was how all of these women carried themselves with dignity and respect.  American television has a difficult time portraying Black women in positive characterizations, but the Black women of the Olympics portrayed themselves in manner that draws on the greatness Black American women have always embodied.

History is full of stories that exhibit the strength and determination that is, and has always been the Black woman.  Look at your own history and see the intelligence and wisdom of the women in your own family.  While those women in our families are our first role models, the Black women of the Olympics are also role models.  These women trained, sacrificed, and performed with excellence to win the ultimate prize in the Olympic Games.

The United States should be proud.  These women should feel accomplished.  And we should all appreciate the positive images these strong and powerful Black women exhibited to the world.

It is very important that you understand your personal hits style. That is because you will be doing quite a bit of promoting of your, services, and courses. You will need to get comfortable with asking your audience to invest in your course. Here are some common pitch styles. See if you can pick out which one most accurately reflects your own personal style.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

This style typically go between very orderly to very aggressive. It may take a few minutes go between aggressive and 40. There tends to be two extremes. Audiences typically either respond with rate adoration because of the appearance of transparency and willingness to cut product their weaknesses.

The Girl Next Door

This style comes across as super nice. They seemingly give endlessly. The pitch is typically given by first asking the audience if it is all rights to offer them something. The audience typically responds in a positive way. The downside is that once you start off with the girl next door style, it is difficult to go to a more aggressive style later.

Cloak and Dagger

The cloak and dagger style is one in which the promoter first starts in a very matter of fact way. They typically have a very rupture way of delivering content. After delivering the content, the promoter then offers a strong argument for stand regarding purchasing the course. The audience typically appreciate that direct of approach that this style exhibits.

Please Baby Baby Please

This style typically sells a bit whiny and typically employees a guilt trip tactic to get the audience to register for the course. This tactic will work on some, but is not a long term strategy for pitching a product or course.

It is important to know that each one of these strategies can have good outcomes but also unintended consequences. We will be exploring this further this week in 1% mentorship group mastermind.

I did not start my business on Periscope, one of the fastest growing live stream applications in the world. But, I will tell you that it has helped me to grow my business in amazing ways. My social media reach has completely sky rocketed. I have more clients, and I am able to convert them at an extremely high rate. Before, I would onboard a new client a couple of times a month. Now, it is more like every couple of days! It is absolutely amazing. I took the extensive skills that I had as a corporate trainer, instructional designer, marketer, and coach and transferred them to Periscope. I could not believe the growth.

I average 100 new followers every week. And, trust me, I had little or now live streaming or social media background. I made a few mistakes early on and learned some valuable lessons. In order to really use live streaming effectively, I have found that it takes three key things: a strategy, a great topic, and crucial feedback once you get started. I mentor entrepreneurs how to use the power of live streaming to build businesses around their courses for long-term sustainable growth. Here's a link to one of my scopes where I have almost 700 people come on live. I made $2938 within an hour of this scope.Click here to watch it. If you are ready to get off the sidelines, schedule some time on my calendar, so I can help you develop a strategy for totally up level your business using live streaming. Follow me on Periscope @kdcoursebuilder. I broadcast Monday through Friday. Now, let's Crush Your Course
