Recovering From A Internet Scam!

It has been a while since I was last on BBWO and that's about to change because it's high time I get more involved with you beautiful black women in business. Anyway like the title says, yes I'm recovering from a horrible scam. Two weeks ago I was approached by a production company who I thought was the real deal. We made plans for them to help me produce a pilot for my new cooking show as a companion to my new cookbook coming out in Sept. Well needless to say after researching them a bit further a few of my fellow networking buddies uncovered that they were a scam and I should stay clear of them. Now with all that said they are trying to put a lien on me which I'm still trying to figure out how they could do that and what type of lien? I'm having to consult and lawyer which I should have before all this madness, but I somehow lost the ball in that area. If anything I'm looking at this as a very well learned lesson in business that I should have had my eyes opened to. I've heard stories of people falling victim and yet I fall flat on my face as well. The best advice I could share with you is please please do your research before signing anything. And as expensive retaining a lawyer may be it's completely necessary for your business. I'm going to start posting updates on my progress so many of you who what to know will learn from my mistakes and triumphs.Peace, Love & Sweet Treats!Latrice FowlerAuthorRaising Chefs...not just good cooks!www.raisingchefs.comwww.goingproathome.comwww.latricefowler.com
