Shows and Workshops in Chicago and Jacksonville

I will be a part of Orbert Davis’ Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Concert in tribute to Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday on Monday, July 21 at 6:30PM at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park in Chicago. The concert, “Hope is Action,” is free to the public.On Sunday, July 27, at 3PM, I will be performing T'Keyah Live!... Mostly: A True Variety Show with my friend Darryl Rueben Hall, at the Stage Aurora Performance Hall, (Inside Gateway Town Center), 5188 Norwood Avenue in Jacksonville, FL. This show is part of the Aurora Jacksonville Black Art Festival, which runs July 24-30, 2008. Call (904) 765-7373 for tickets.On Monday July 28, I will conduct an actors’ workshop, Tools of the Trade – Stage, a comprehensive session which prepares new actors for success in their theatrical careers.On Tuesday July 29, I will conduct an actors’ workshop, Tools of the Trade – Monologues, an intensive session wherein I will work with student to deconstruct and rebuild their monologues to bring out their best performance.Each workshop is $75.
