What is favor? Favor can be described to be a variety of many different things depending upon the variety of many different people that are asked. We all have heard the expression, “favor aint fair”.When something is fair, it is considered to be that which is good, just, acceptable, pleasing; that which is done properly or well and a time or season that is not considered to be stormy or cloudy. Based on this, it is quite plausible, that favor indeed is not fair. You might be wondering now, what on earth, do I mean, by favor not being fair; since there is an expression that is equally used just as much as the previously quoted one, being: “favor is fair to those who have it.”. This statement, believe it or not, is actually a contradiction to what is indicative of what it means to have favor.Favor consist of so much more than that which is considered to be fair: [good, just, acceptable, pleasing; that which is done properly or well and a time or season that is not considered to be stormy or cloudy].
Favor is considered to be the kind act of the one who extends the favor. Favor is consistent with the following: [kind acts fulfilled out of goodwill, approval without merit, preferential treatment, token of loyalty, a small gift, support, assistance, gentle treatment, help, goodwill, charity, esteem, aid, assistance, promotion, benefits, advancement, encouragement, improvement, and increase without any basis of merit, value, good quality, ability, spiritual credit, or facts of the case. Therefore, unlike something that is done base on that which is fair, good and done well;favor on the other hand is not based on the person who is recieving the favor, to be one who is deserving of it, or based on doing that which is good, valuable, or acceptable. It is however, totally based on how good, gracious and how great our God truly is!
Therefore, know today, beloved of God, that despite the situations or the circumstance that may surround us or our lives now or ever; we still have favor. No matter if we do well, succeed or if we stumble and fail, we still have favor. WE have the FAVOR of God!
Regardless of the sun shining brightly in our lives or if the storms of life are raging severely, threatening catastrophic damage and destruction in our lives; we still have something that is greater than that which is fair and reasonable, we have the favor or the most High God.
This favor comes, not due to our being good, doing well or that which is highly exceptable. Favor comes not because of us or our religiosity; it comes through the favor of the most high God. God has promised us His favor, no matter what. Isn’t good to know that this favor is not based on our own goodness, but dependant upon the goodness of the most high God and His love towards us!!
In fact it is when we go through the most severe difficulties, challenges, and test that we are to realize just how favored we really are. When we go through our most difficult challenges and can do no good of our own, when we feel we can’t go on, and when we feel that the enemy has gained ground and about to defeat us, this is when God shows us just how magnificent and great he really, truly is. God’s favor surrounds us and acts as a shield against the velocity of the strong winds and storms that come against us. God loves to exalt himself up against our enemy and show the favor that He has for us!
Psalm 5:12For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass: [surround, guard, him as with a shield.Proverbs 3:4So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.Proverbs 8:35For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
This is the time, beloved of God that we are to scream into the face of adversity and every evil work, operating against us, “THOUGH YOU FIGHT AGAINST ME, I STILL WIN! I AM THE FAVORED OF GOD! I AM FAVORED BY GOD. GOD’S FAVOR IS UPON ME AND ALL AROUND ME! I STILL WIN!!” WE can stand up and lift our hands up to our God, because HE has Favored us!!!When the enemy comes against us from every angle, like a flood, God has promised to lift up: rise up, stand up, soar, arise: occur, come up, come to pass, begin, appear, cause to take place; His standard: [stage, platform, stand, proposal, request, call, His demand: His order, charge, harmony, His peace: serenity, freedom from strife: His reconciliation: His understanding, His support: His favor, His loyalty, His caring, His sympathy for you, His compassion for you, His accommodations] for you, His encouragement: His hopefulness, His cheering: His reassurance, His kindness, His gentleness, His consideration for you, His benevolence: His generosity, HIs preferential treatment towards those whom He loves dearly and deeply; against the enemy of our lives, NO matter what!!
WE are blessed by God to walk through any situation or circumstance that comes our way, because our God has favored us! Just as He did for the children of Israel at the Red Sea! God's raises up His power, might, majesty, authority and His standard against every enemy that seeks to cause harm, hinder or hurt us in any way! With our God, we always come through the storm, the flood, the fire, the waves.. JUST fine and better than when we went in!!Proverbs 8:35For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.Proverbs 18:22Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.WE have the favor of the most High God!
When we find God, we find God’s favor! WHen we have His favor, we also have His peace, prosperity, power, provision and His presence!! In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand, pleasures forever more! It is our divine heritage to walk in the peace, prosperity, privileges, power, provision, presence and the pleasures of the MOST High God as His beloved heirs and joint heirs with Jesus!!
WE are favored by God, based on the goodness of the most High GOD, no matter what the situation!Just like those before us!!Joseph was favored by God despite being hated, rejected, betrayed, mistreated, thrown into a pit, beaten, sold into slavery by his brothers, being falsely accused after being assaulted by someone in authority, and thrown into prison! Joseph's favor took him from the pit, from persecution and from the prison and catapaulted him into the palace! Favored by the Almighty God, the palace is where Joseph would face those who put him in the pit and persecuted him. It is there that he would be used by God to perpetuate the blessing that would keep these same brothers, that mistreated him, along with his father and the future generations of his people; from being wiped out by famine, poverty, desolation and destruction. Though he'd lost it all, the favor of God in Joseph's life, restored all he'd lost in a much greater and more substantial return!Genesis 39:6And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.Ruth found favor from the Lord, despite being a former idolator, a impoverished woman whose husband had not measured up to his purpose or potential and had died suddently, as a result of it. Ruth was a single woman, with no home, while possibly going through grief and suffering when God blessed her with favor to be mentored and ministered to by Naomi. Ruth's favor led her to give up idolatry, serve the Lord, change locations and began working in the field. This favor on her life, placed Ruth in the right place, at the right time to be blessed by God! While gleaning in the fields, collecting the harvest, Ruth was favored by God and noticed by the wealthiest man in the land; Boaz. Boaz saw the favor of God on Ruth and began to question others about who she was. This favor would bless Ruth to become the wife of Boaz and to give birth to a child who would descendant in the lineage of Jesus Christ, our Savior!Ruth 2:13Then Ruth said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.
Samuel was favored by God, from a child into his adulthood. Samuel's favor causd him to mature and grow in the Lord, mightily. This favor elevated him being a child, into being one of the greatest prophets and men of God in the bible! Samuel's favor has outlived him and is still being revealed today, when we read the bible.1 Samuel 2:26And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.David, a shepherd boy, was given favor by God and King Saul. This favor took David from being a boy serving and keeping the sheep out in the pasture, into being before the King, into later, being crowned King. David, the boy who was most likely to not be selected to be the king, came from the Pasture, tending sheep, to placing him in the Palace, before the King, to play for him and then matured him to become the Warrior Worshiping King, who would also be favored by God to write all of the Psalms to God, in which are still read, meditated on, praised and sang today!1 Samuel 16:22And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.Esther, an impoverished Jewish girl, was taken from her homeland, favored by God to be placed in the palace; a place that she should not have been. In the palace she would be more favored to be selected to go through the purification process of being purified, beautified, polished, perfected and perfumed so that she could just rightto stand before the King. The favor that God had on Esther's life, caused her to not only stand before the King, but be selected over all others to be the new Queen who would stand beside the King as his wife. Esther's favor caused her to have the hand and the heart of the King; as well as gave her the distinct notable ability to turn the head of the King, which ultimately was the cause of the Jewish people being saved from eradication by those that hated them!Esther 7:3Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:Despite having one of the worst season's in anyone's life, being tried and tested and losing everything of value and worth to him, in his life; Job was favored by God. Job was so favored by God that he was tested beyond reasoning. After he'd lost his home, wealth, riches, finances, live stock, family, his wife, and his health; Job suffered even more so, due to the judgmental and hurtful comments of "f.rien-o.-e.mies" or what I like to call, his f.o.e.s. Although, Job may not have felt favored by God, he was. When Job turned to God and admitted to an Almighty God that he as a man, did not know everything that there was to know, about God and all of His ways; along with praying for HIs foes [friends operating as enemies], God favored Job again. ONLY this time, God favored Job with so much more, than what he had before his testing. Though Job had lost everything: friends, family, finances and seemingly the favor of God, Job was more greatly favored in the end than in the beginning because he was real with God! Because Job humbled himself, under the mighty hand of God, recognizing and acknowledging God's sovereinty and HIs greatness, as being so much greater, bigger and more powerful than what he was going through, how he was feeling, all he had lost or what was being said to him. Job's latter was greater than his former due to the favor of God on and in His life!Job 33:26He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he [Job] shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
Mary, a young virgin girl, who was engaged to be married to a carpenter was favored by God. She was visited by an angel one night and like most of us, might be, she was greatly startled. The angel told Mary of great favor the God had on her life, that would be higher, more substantial and greater than any other woman in the world. She was highly favored to be chosen to be the vessel in which God would use to bring His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ into this natural world. Mary was favored by God to be the first woman to bring the word into the natural. She carried "The Word" within her. She gave birth to and brought forth "THe Word", into the world. Mary nurtured "The Word" and took great care of "The Word". Mary was favored by God to be the first woman who carried and bought The Word forth, natually! Though, at the time, Mary was under great pressure and at risk of having more to happen to her, as a result of her pregnancy, than the breaking of her engagment to Joseph. Mary was at risk of being taken out of the city to be stoned to death by the members of her community. But God favored her! Mary was not harmed, nor was the precious cargo that she was carrying, despite threats of the king at the time, looking for her, to kill what she was carrying. She was favored by God and protected. She was favored by God and covered and provided for by Joseph, the man that God favored to be the first bonus "step up" father [step father] to the blessing that she was carrying. That precous baby, that Mary was carrying is still so very relevant today. Jesus Christ, God with us. He is the Lord of Lord's and the King of Kings. He is the Alpha and the Omega! He is the Word who was in the beginning, the Word was there in the beginning with God, and the Word was God and the Word was made flesh!Luke 1:28And the angel came in unto Mary, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.Our Favor comes from the Lord, God through Jesus Christ our Lord!! The same Favor that Jesus had on His life, is on our lives. The same power that Jesus had when he walked the earth, we now walk in this same power by His word, through His name, by the blood of Jesus, by His love towards us! We are favored of and by God. God's favor causes us to grow, mature and be elevated, be positioned, be progressive, be accomplished, be successful and be prosperous in all that we do, especially that which we do for Him and the Kingdom of God!Luke 2:52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
It is time for God’s people to be favored of God!! Praise the Lord. God has decreed this to be the time of your favor, my favor, our favor. We have the favor of the most High God on our side, despite what the situations that surround or attempt to attack our lives, may look like. God dictates the last word in our lives. God’s word will not return to him void. God has decreed that we are the blessed of the Lord and the favored of God. Walk in the favor of God. Exercise your rights and privileges of favor, as an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ. You are favored! This is your time of favor!! God rises up to show his favor to you, no matter what! Decree it as so, just as God has decreed it already for you!Psalm 102:13Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.We are favored by God, just as Jesus was favored by God. WE are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ to the privileges of favor, power, peace, prosperity, protection and provision of the Kingdom of God. We are favored by God and nothing can separate us from this favor which comes in His love. Walk in your favor as the beloved of the God and remind yourself, no matter what comes your way, that you are FAVORED by God in all things, at all times. In t his favor you have all that you need to succeed in life and in godliness. You have all of God’s stage, platform, stand, proposal, request, and God’s call. You have His demands: His order, charge, harmony, His peace: serenity, freedom from strife: His reconciliation: His understanding and His support:, His power, His provision, His protection, His loyalty, His caring, His sympathy for you, His compassion for you, His accommodations for you!
This your time of FAVOR! Shout it out, dance it out, DECREE it, Believe it and Walk in it!!! Its Here!! Its now! YOU ARE FAVORED.God bless you richly today and always as you walk in the favor of the most High God today. God loves you and He desires and has made provision for you to prosper, be in health, even as your soul prospers and He has favored you!!!
