It's Sunday Morning and as I got up to prepare for prayer I was thinking about,"What I could to do enhance my business and push my self to do better?". I am a firm believer in self challenges. All my life, society told me I couldn't do certain things because of, race, gender, height, wearing locks before they were fashionable, surviving illness and any other foolishness a person could dream up. I always used those "You cant's" as self challenges to motivate me to do what I set out to do. Whenever I was striving for a goal and got tired, discouraged whatever, I would replay that persons' voice who told me I couldn't. This always gave me that boost I needed to reach my goal.

So now to self challenge myself I'm going to make one new item everyday for the rest of the year. People who know me personally know that I can be very prolific. I will make a bunch of items in a sitting and them not make anything for a while. So what I'm working on here is consistency to make myself create something each day. Maybe I'll learn some new skills as I get bored easily.

My Granddaddy who passed just shy of his 96 birthday taught me that you should learn something new everyday. When Granddaddy turned 90 I asked him if there was anything left for him to learn. He smiled and told me what he had learned new that day. He then said," Baby you should not stop learning until they throw dirt on your face."

I expect this to be an interesting journey so sign up for my RSS or join or link to my blog and lets' see where the path goes. Let me know what your self challenges are or have been and how you dealt with it. I'd really like to know.

The challenge will start Tuesday January 25, 2011.

  • You at the right site. I am good at what I do as an international trader and artist. I've had years of experience and have mentored many in both areas at no cost to them. I was clueless on selling online. You have so much noise coming at you on the net that its hard to hone in and find the right info, guru, mentor etc.Once I got over LaShanda's age and started paying attention to the site, I realized she was not just a talking head but someone who walked her talk and could back it up.

I cut my teeth doing business in Texas and an old Texas saw is of the young money manger who gave this great presentation to a Texas Millionaire as to how he could increase the Texan's wealth. The millionaire listened politely and then asked if the money manger if he had made his first million. The answer was no. The Texan said when you make your first million THEN you can come back and tell me how to deal with my money.

LaShanda is the real deal.. I have implemented some of her strategies online and have seen positive results immediately. She is now only one of the two people whose advice I follow online. I've cut the rest of the noise out and am focused on having the success on that I have had offline. Study this site and buy the product you need for a particular issue and USE it as your road map. Your money is well spent with her and she's reasonable. LaShanda is a guiding light. Let her light your way. This is not a paid endorsement but from the heart and head. Smile

  • i would like to be a part of this challenge, i am striving to learn everything i can on how to run a effective & profitable business and anything i can learn from successful business women like yourself would be a boost to my business. I am struggling to find ways to get people to my website and when they are there not just browse but BUY! I mean im glad people are looking, it would be if i had an actual building if people just come in look around and then turn around and leave out the door im not making any money to pay my bills. It gets frustrating at times but i know i have to keep pressing on.
