This woman opens her heart to every man
that tells her he loves her
Never takes the chance to get to know the true her
Only believes it from the mouth of others
They know she is weak
As she even stands with her head high
so they creep in and out of her life
Like thieves in the night
Looking for love in all the wrong places
This woman never had someone to truly call her own
She despises the looks of admiration from the couple she walks by
Wanting that same adoration to walk into her life
As she cries in the night behind closed doors
Trying to cover her pain with every mundane routine in her life
She throws out "I love yous", carelessly
Waiting to hear a reply
Looking for love in all the wrong places
This woman is scorned and miserable
Needing to learn that if she truly loved herself first
Her knight and shining armor would ride in
But never being in love and never knowing how to really love
she yet again runs into the arms of another man
Believing that if he would only reply back
The words she whispered to him
She'll be able to move on
but no she continues
dreaming,
searching,
seeking,
looking...
for love
in all the wrong places
Ally AKA Dread
Hair
"I hate my hair!"
I screamed
And as the words fell out my mouth
I took it back
Because I immediately though of those cancer paitiens
Who had no hair to complain about
So I decided to stop the straigheners
Stop the blow dryers and the curling iron and the rollers
All the things that made me not what I really am
And instead I grew locks
Dread, Natty Dread
Whatever you want to call it
But I call it natural hair
MY natural hair
That is the longest it has ever been
That I twist daily
Wash with rachette shampoo
And smooth that real coconut oil
Through it's strands
Starting from the scalp
That now is black with hints of light brown
Because I tried to be different again
But no
Not even coloring
They will grow naturally
Silver strands in my hair
That's what I want
To tell of my age
To tell of my struggle
To tell that I am growing old
GRACEFULLY
One strand longer than the other
But not breaking away
Not falling apart because I put chemicals in it
Hair that can be pulled
And pulled and pulled
And won't break away
That's the strength of the hair
MY hair
Dread, Natty dread
That will still take the heat
Because I still need to look fly
Once I get a fresh twist
So yeah, maybe a hair dryer once in a while
Maybe curlers for a bouncy look
Pinned up, okay
Let loose – hang loose
Down to my back
Maybe my butt
No telling if I'll put a scissor to it
No-no!
Uh-uh!
Don't touch, white woman
I don't touch yours
Why you gotta touch mine
Yeah, it's real
From the roots to the tip
From the follicle to the hip
Dread, Natty Dread!
Roots natty, Roots Natty
And I can still flip it like you, white girl
I can still wash it like you, white girl
I can still wear it like you, white girl
And you can call me
RASTAFARI!
But even though I'm not a Crown Prince

The financial service industry has been around since the beginning of times. It has helped people who have no college education the opportunity to work independently and build a business of their own, all it takes is to be licensed in the state you plan to work in. And a above all that you can earn as much and more than people who have the high paying, college degree required jobs, but you get to be your own boss.
No more having people mandate your life, you can be the creator of your own destiny, but in order for you to be successful in business you must be determined, creative, and willing to step out of your comfort zone and make the money. Now if those things I just listed are not a part of your DNA, than you may not have what it takes, but in some cases when people expose themselves to new possibilities, they find out that really do have what it takes to succeed in business.

Manzanillo, Mexico
Acapulco, Mexico
Zihuatanejo/ Ixtapa, Mexico
Manzanillo, Mexico, is a resort town of wide, soft-sand beaches and groves of palm trees. With its balmy weather, year-round ocean breezes and verdant mountains rising along the shoreline, this is a perfect spot for vacationers looking to relax by taking in a round of golf, doing some deep-sea fishing or just basking in the warmth of a sun-kissed beach.
Acapulco, which is virtually synonymous with luxury, is a place where the rich and famous come to escape. Take the scenic highway for a striking panoramic view of the beaches and mountains, and note the beautiful homes and lush gardens as you pass through Las Brisas. And make sure you take time to see the thrilling cliff divers plunge into the turbulent waters of Le Quebrada.
Ixtapa is a lively, modern infrastructure comprised of luxury resorts and residential areas residing on beautiful beaches along the Pacific coast. A photo stop at Playa Quieta, where you will be able to view the magnificent island of Ixtapa, is a must. Zihuatanejo, an Indian word meaning "river of the yellow water," is a small bay and resort discovered by tourists in 1940. At the time, the only access to the village was by the sea. Your visit to this small town will provide you with some of the most breathtaking sights, including the beautiful Sierra Madre mountains as a backdrop.

Have you ever looked at your career and financial position and wondered how did it end up like this? Unfortunately you are not a lone, 1 out 10 people polled said they wish they had a better job, higher pay, and more time to spend with family and friends. The problem stems from a number of factors such as: lack of higher education, which in turns forces them to work a low paying job, or maybe the have a flood of higher education, but are forced to work long hours and miss out on spending time with their love ones.
Many people however do not know how to get out of this unhappy cycle and create their own destiny. The fact is that no matter how stuck you feel in a situation there is a way of escape, even if you have to create the way for yourself.
If you are interested in embarking upon a new career and starting a business that puts you back in the driver seat of your future.. Visit www.shanekamarigny.com fill out the form located in the “Become an Agent”section.

I hope you can join me for my next book reading on Saturday, January 12 @ 1:15pm-2:15pm at Flow Yoga Center, 1450 P Street, NW, Washington, DC. I will read excerpts from my debut novel Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One (iUniverse - August 2007, available on Amazon.com for $20.95), sign books, and share how my 2005-2006 Flow Yoga Center teacher training experience and home yoga practice helped me surrender to the process of writing, self-publishing, and marketing my novel. This is event is free and will be held in Flow Yoga Center's second floor lounge.
About Novel:
Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One by Ananda Kiamsha Madelyn Leeke tells the story of Karma Francois, a thirtysomething yogini with Louisiana roots and urban debutante flair. The novel begins with Karma?s life in an uproar. The ups and downs that she experiences as a result of career loss and poor life choices make her feel like she is living her own version of Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog). While rebuilding her life in Washington, DC, Karma relies on her yoga and meditation practice, family, friends, and therapist to help her confront the effects of her poor life choices and embrace a spiritual journey of healing and love. The novel features many businesses, organizations, and landmarks in the U Street, Shaw, Adams Morgan, and Dupont Circle neighborhoods. Love's Troubadours is available for sale on Amazon.com for $20.95. For more information, visit www.myspace.com/lovestroubadours.
Thank you for your love, support, positive energy, and prayers. Have a blessed and prosperous new year!
