LOVE BRINGS CHANGE.....................

There is nothing in life that love cannot change. When we feel love, our hearts feel much lighter. Love helps us judge to with our hearts and not with our minds. If we let love enter our hearts, we can see more of the good in others and do not see as many faults.Love helps us to bear hardships without complaint, and it endures suffering with a smile. It can change the darkness into day and make things so much brighter for us for love brings harmony and order out of chaos. Love can give us a reason for living and something to live for. Love is the source of all life! While love can be compassionate and nurturing, it can also be powerful, dynamic and practical-a catalyst for spiritual growth. Soften and strengthen the heart to create more meaningful relationships in all areas of our lives. Even the most intense lessons of love can be the open door to a higher love-and a higher way of loving. Filled with spiritual wisdom for our personal journey of the heart. Effectively communicating love can completely change your life. Joy is the experience of knowing that you are unconditionally loved and that nothing, sickness, failure, emotional distress, oppression, war or even death, can take that love away. Can you imagine what life would be like if you were to communicate love sincerely and consistently in all your relationships on a daily basis? To communicate the kind of love that esteems others to be patient, kind, considerate of one another, a love that is not jealous or envious, a love that is humble, not demanding or easily angered, a love that is forgiving and sincere. Love gives life meaning and purpose. It fulfills the deepest yearnings of our souls. It quenches our thirst and fills our hearts to overflowing. Love heals wounds and brings comfort to hurts and pain. Love is what we live for. Love holds families together. It bonds friendships, for love truly inspires, revives, and restores. Love is to fully love others without condition, regardless of the result.Love is everything to everybody.Without it, the world would be dead.So always take the time to tell someone that you love them...Whether it be family, a lover, a stranger or a friend!MzGloria

You don't have to be powerful, famous, or extraordinary. We all have stories to tell. A story begging to be told of our successes and our failures while trying to express something deeper. All of our lives are important, for our lives are truly meaningful, thoughts on who we are and what we are about. All of our stories no matter who we are can truly make a difference in someone else's life. We all have dilemmas, a story to tell or something to vent about. We are the sum of the stories we tell ourselves, and those stories are necessarily while we exhale our memories. Our lives are stories that we constantly invite others to help us create, share and live, for our stories convey the meaning of our lives, experiences that shape truths we come to believe. We all walk many different paths in life and we each have a story to tell.We all have a story to tell: our history for they are the totality or our lives. Listening to crafted voices enriches us. It is important to know that the honesty in our voice binds us together. By sharing we become united in our collection of diverse emotions and experiences. We have more commonalities than we give credit to, but by listening and sharing our stories we connect. By listening to each other's stories we validate each other. We take the time to hear the point of view of others. Taking time to understand and actively listen to another person's story begins to glue humanity together. It is the patient process of listening respectfully to another human story and recognizing that their words resonate with power and meaning. We can come together, united by words, shared in humanity to turn framed fear into lasting hope. By listening to the remarkable words that we all have, we help to make humanity healthier and happier. Never judge others by their appearance for the inside of them has so much to reveal. There is the need to find the real meaning life has for us all. This journey we are all on is a varied one, for sure, but there are some similar things we are all going through. The stories we have to tell uncovers our roots....who we are inside. We are all continuously involved in the process of adding new stories to our own lives. Each of us, in our search for meaning in life, has a vast amount of experience to draw upon. Our struggles and hardship, along with our achievements and blessings, teach us life’s lessons. Your experience, your strength and the hope that endures are part of your unique story and part of the reason why you should tell your life story. As we all have known, life is so fragile and God can call us anytime of his choosing, so we have to learn to be grateful and appreciate all the things we have been given, the people in our lives for time is so very precious and once it is gone we can never get it back, so in reality the stories we tell ourselves...about ourselves...frames who we are as individuals.Reasons to tell your life story is to leave your mark. We all want to be remembered. Certainly we want to be remembered for the good we've done and for the significant accomplishments in our lives and all we have done to touch and leave a mark on others. We all journey through life together, struggling to discover a meaningful purpose to our existence. During this journey, we all make choices, decisions and mistakes. No one is perfect. Most of us receive help along the way, when we need it most. And once in a while, we have the rewarding opportunity to repay the favor by giving someone else a helping hand. To share with others who you are, what you are about and what you believe in is passing on some very valuable personal history. The process of telling your life story will help you identify the core values and beliefs you hold. Sharing it will pass on valuable lessons to others.Yes, we all have a story to tell, even if our listener is only ourselves, but the challenge is for others to truly listen and understand who we truly are inside. Stories are the creative conversion of life itself into a more powerful, clearer, more meaningful experience. They are the currency of human contact. Everyone is necessarily the hero of his own life story. It is not the voice that commands the story: it is the ear. God doesn't care where we began as much as He cares where we end. He isn't limited by where we started out in life, or by the mistakes we made along the way. He knows the end from the beginning, and He created us with a specific purpose in mind, to achieve that end. He loves us enough to accept us where we are. And then He gently, patiently, and lovingly, helps us to grow into the person He created us to be.Your story is unique! Just like you are! All of our stories will help to build a bridge from one heart to another until we are all connected. All humans are stories waiting to be told, be it my story, your story, our story...it is our history. Wisdom stories speak to the unfolding nature of our lives. We are all truly meant to shine! What is the story that you have to tell about your life or the story that you want others to remember about your life that made a SPECIAL difference to them?We all have a story to tell, whether it's done badly or done well.Whether it's hard, easy or makes your fist swell when you think about it.But, no matter how it is done our story needs to be told.Because we as unique individuals, hold too much in.And no matter how hard we try to share we are still afraid. It is always hard to give things up even if you take your time it can seem as if you are too abrupt in the telling so the stories that need to be told.Because we all have a story to be told. It's hard to understand the other side of what has lead people to be the way they are, but regardless those stories need to be heard.Because that next word can be the savior, the voice that someone needs. This can be anything that we want it to be and we can be saved. If we would just listen as much as we speak.Believe in who you are, believe that dreams come true.Believe that all the strength you need, lies deep inside of you.Wish upon a falling star, have faith in what you believe. For even the impossible dream, is one you can achieve.Listen with your heart, hear the song it sings.Imagine all things are possible, if you only just believe. With Love From My Heart 2 YoursMzGloria

Message for all the moms and dads and kids gearing up for spring cleaning rituals because, Spring is just around the corner. My husband and two teens are probably cringing right now about the list I will have them do this year! Are you tired of buying 5-6 different chemical based cleaning products to keep your home clean? One for the stove top, one for the bathroom/tub and tile, another for the toilet. Then there’s the glass cleaner. The spot remover for the carpet or the laundry additive to spray away stains before you wash and hope it doesn’t eat holes in the material. The leather cleaner and the list can go on and on forever. Well, I have found the product that not only cleans and disinfects, but is safe to use around children and pets! And the best part for me is that it was created by the owners of a cleaning business who just happen to be Black. They have two young children and wanted to develop a product that was safe for them to use when they were helping to clean around the house.I have given birth to six, helped to raise 5 and have about 11 grandchildren, if memory serves me right (smile). So having a product that is safe to use around them and my pets has always been a big concern for me. And when my kids wanted to help clean, there were certain products I didn’t even want them in the house when I used, no less have them anywhere near.If you are looking for one cleaner that can be used in the home, office, auto, hospitals and more. Safely clean, ovens, tennis shoes, carpets, glass, plastic, leather, painted surfaces, woodwork, metal & more...listen up!The name of this new, all-in one cleaning sensation is, “Everything Clean.” The slogan is “the name says it all.” In today’s economy when everyone is pinching pennies, why not buy this great product, save you some money, protect your family from harmful chemicals and support a Black business at the same time. You can find Everything Clean only at www.buyblacktoday.com/TeamDollar in the Cleaning category. Plus you can watch the commercial which stars the two beautiful children of the creators of this product by clicking on the Black Business Network, select commercials and scroll down and look for the Everything Clean Commercial. After you buy it and try it, shoot me an email and let me know what you think. While automated calling systems and school/district websites are fine ways to get information out, this strikes me as a particularly useful application for the microblogging site.According to their press release,Twitter supplements the District's current communications vehicles, which include Parent Link phone messages, E-mails, the District's Web site (www.browardschools.com), BECON-TV and the parent newsletter.Their Twitter feed can be found at twitter.com/browardschools, and already contains links to a new attendance policy, links to school board meeting broadcasts, etc. Because Twitter is so easy to update, it makes for a much more convenient platform than traditional websites, although it's also easy to embed a Twitter feed in a website, further increasing it's utility and reach. Similarly, multiple people could be given access to the account, making it simple for principals, secretaries, or other administrators to add to the information stream.Parents who always wish to stay informed can follow the school via Twitter updates to their cell phone or simply watch the feed through any number of tools. I've had a lot of people question the utility of Twitter in schools and while I have a long ways to go to convince them that it's a great classroom tool, this seems like a no-brainer, adding an extra level of communication and transparency for the district and the community at large.***************************************************This Online Journal was brought to you by InterServe Networks. It’s no surprise to some of you that I did not invent the diaper cake. In fact, there are numerous retailers who sell more traditional diaper cakes. What I did, was re-invent it to fit my personal style. I placed an emphasis on a streamlined look, put the products inside instead of outside and made neat, well-made products a priority. Gift the Bambino provides contemporary, originally-styled gift items.

Having said that, I came a across a “Diaper Tree” or two in my travels and eventually developed a Gift the Bambino version. This tree is filled with diapers and gifts but from the outside it’s all about the jungle! The top includes quite a few leaves from a “fake” plant and they really help pull the piece together. To make it clear that this is in fact a baby shower centerpiece, and not just a tree, the bottom layer is styled more like one of our baby cakes.

The diaper tree is a must have for any JUNGLE-THEMED BABY SHOWER. It makes a wonderful stand-alone centerpiece and comes with a monkey or gorilla for baby.Good things about the Baby Gift Jungle Tree:It really does look a lot like a tree! You can custom order more than one and use them to decorate all of your baby shower tables! It’s a foot and a half tall, the perfect attention grabber! It’s made with some items that will be recyclable after mom-to-be is ready to use the gifts inside! It’s secured together to prevent the layers from separating before you want them too!Everything inside is useful for baby!If you gift is as a gift, you will have hands-down the MOST ORIGINAL gift at the shower!Perfect for outdoorsy moms-to-be!Makes a great gift for a new dad as well!

Vacationing in Mexico? Is it Safe?

The U.S. State Department has issued a Travel Alert to Mexico. People are now wondering, is it safe to travel to Mexico? The Travel industry says absolutely yes, as long as precautions are taken. The U.S. state dept issued this Travel AlertThis Travel Alert updates security information for U.S. citizens traveling and living in Mexico. It supersedes the Travel Alert for Mexico dated October 15, 2008, and expires on August 20, 2009.“While millions of U.S. citizens safely visit Mexico each year (including thousands who cross the land border every day for study, tourism or business), violence in the country has increased recently. It is imperative that travelers understand the risks of travel to Mexico, how best to avoid dangerous situations, and whom to contact if one becomes a crime victim. Common-sense precautions such as visiting only legitimate business and tourist areas during daylight hours, and avoiding areas where prostitution and drug dealing might occur, can help ensure that travel to Mexico is safe and enjoyable”.The State Department is advising travelers to avoid areas of prostitution and drug-dealing. The problem is increased violence near the U.S. borders due mostly to drug cartel wars. Americans have been kidnapped, injured or killed during violent attacks, mostly in non tourist areas. Its important to note that 20 million tourists and travelers visited Mexico last year, without a problem and had a wonderful experience. For the most part tourists have not been targeted. However, When I hear clients say that they want to visit out of the area places when they travel to see “how the people really live” I want to SCREAM!!!! That is when tourists have the potential of encountering trouble.Recently some colleges have issued warnings to students to avoid Mexico altogether during Spring Break. After all we know they usually do not go on organized tours. Here are some suggestions for you to have a fantastic and safe trip to Mexico~Travel on main roads and travel only during daylight hours~Stay in known tourist areas~Exercise caution in unfamiliar areas and always be aware of your surroundings.~Avoid traveling alone~Do not wear expensive looking jewelry~Do not carry large amounts of cash or valuables~Book excursions and tours directly from your cruise lines or Resort concierge – They will use legitimate vendors and the tours will be in safe areas.~Leave an itinerary with family or friends who are not traveling with you~Check and see if your cell phone carrier is capable of roaming or GSM or 3G international networks.~Cooperate official checkpoints while traveling on Mexican highwaysFollowing the above suggestions and using plain common sense will help you have a safe and grand Mexican Vacation!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Are you looking to book a vacation or cruise to Mexico?Go to www.GailsDreamVacations.comI can help. FOUR SECRETS TO A SUCCESSFUL JOINT VENTURE

Four Secrets to a Successful Joint VentureEvery successful Joint Venture should include a Clear Objective, The Right Partner, A Great Plan, Good Management.1. Objective - Have a clear objective. You should know what you want to accomplish right from the beginning. The company that you partner with will want to know and see that you are clear about what you want to accomplish by partnering with them. Be aware that your joint venture partner may not have the same objective as you, which is fine as longs as they compliment each others.2. Choosing the right joint venture partner is very important. The right partner in your joint venture will create a win win situation for both parties or all parties involved. You need to take ample time to search out and find the right partner / company that has similar objectives to yours and one that is interested in going into a joint venture. Some businesses might want to joint venture, but don’t have the same objective as you and their objective do not compliment yours. This is not and will not be a good joint venture for you…Move on from this one if you should come across it. You want to find a company or business partner that have an interest in going into a joint venture and that have objectives that are similar to your or that at least compliment yours. If you come across this person, a joint venture could be considered. What both parties want should come into alignment with each other, so not to clash with one another later.3. Have a great plan for your venture. Work out how you are going to go about negotiating and Continue

Rom. 6:16 “Don’t you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive his approval.” NLTI just want to encourage you today singles. Hold your head up! No matter what you have done in the past, nomatter how many bad decisions you have made in your life, no matter how dreary your situations may seem, remember, God can do anything! If you believe he can fix it, then he can. If you believe that your single life canbring him glory, then it can. If you believe that he is a God that can do all things, then that's what he will be to you.God is just waiting on you to line it up with his word. Make sure your requests are lining up with his purpose for you.Make sure you begin to work hard to deny those things that are not in his plan for you.You see, God is willing and able to do it, as long as you are obedient to his word. Don't expect to receive from himin a disobedient state, but line yourself up with him and he will fix your situation once and for all. God does not wantyou dismayed, hurt, dissatisfied, or distressed. Those are things your decisions in the past have birthed. But now it'stime to say good bye to the issues that have plagued you and it's time to move forward in healing and blessings. If youneed a spouse, seek God. If you need peace, seek God. If you need anything from God, just seek God. But do not expectto receive if you are not obedient to his word. Disobedience can block your blessings and your purpose. Good evening.Wow, this is my first time actually submitting my thoughts on a blog. Well, I have some random thoughts for you for my first entry.I love shoes, what can I say. It was a sheer classic when Mr. Big gave Carrie a hugh closet just to house her shoes as an engagement gift and as a topping, a new pair of royal blue Manolo Blanik. I love shoes so much, that's all that a man would need to give me and promise to always continue to fill my closet with 20 new pairs of shoes every two months.I know every shoe that I own and I don't ever forget a pair. I even know if one pair is missing as I feel that I have a bond with all of my shoes. However, there is a thought that has crossed my mind many times over. I know that there are black shoe designers out there but, why aren't there any one of them on the level of these so revered designers such as Manolo Blanik, Prada, Gucci, Christian Louboutian, Jimmy Choo, etc. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love their designs but. . .I know that this isn't where the creativity and recognition should end. I contemplate if African Americans will ever be able to truly break out into the fashion scene and be truly respected in the same manner as our counterparts. I know that as much as I see a black woman switch her hips and make her heels sing "Watch me work this walk" and show so many that natural swagger that we as black women have. And to me, no one knows how to rip a walk the way that a black woman does and I am looking for the designs that speak to this "walk" that black women posses. "Just a seriously bad pair of pumps" is what I am looking for designed by us that speaks to us, piques the curiosity of everyone who isn't us and demands the recognition that is so long deserved. It's fine to salivate from time to time over a bad pair of Chanel Boots but, I would like to channel my energies toward a designer who truly designed their shoes with the thought of ebony soles inhabiting them. That's my thought for today as I prepare to slip out of my Nine West pumps into some Nine West flats, for the evening until I get home.Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!-PorchiaAtlanta, Georgia

- LEARNING THROUGH LISTENING: The Value of Advisory Boards for Fast-Growth Small Businesses -Written by Jennifer LawtonNet Daemons Associates (NDA) is a fast-growth company. I wouldn't have realized this had I not joined Young Entrepreneur's Organization. I would have continued to wonder why I always felt, at the end of another year of doubled revenues and employees, that I needed to hibernate so that I could wake up and do it again. I'd always thought, in my infinite non-schooled sense of the business world, that this was just the way it worked. "That's how it works. It just IS!"I needed only one YEO forum meeting to realize that I was wrong. I have since come to realize that there are many other aspects of the business world about which I have sometimes been wrong, sometimes right, and sometimes both right and wrong. A common thread in my awakening has been my use of and participation in a number of groups and boards that continue to broaden my vision.Building on successNDA is not only rapidly growing and on the edge of the "really happening" business world, it is a cool and fun company. I am the co-founder, and have no prior business experience or education. We are a completely bootstrapped company that has been profitable from day one, based nearly entirely on word-of-mouth marketing. We are successful by many definitions of success. Again, without the help of others looking in, I would not have realized that not only am I successful, but so, too, is NDA.NDA has an advisory board. This group consists of six individuals, each with solid expertise and a reputation in a different area of business. These advisors meet with our Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. They are not paid beyond the "take home value" of our meetings, and the ability to participate in what we are doing.Click here http://www.onyxsix.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=38:learning-through-listening-the-value-of-advisory-boards-for-fast-growth-small-businesses&catid=13:how-to-guides to read more.- SIGN UP FOR THE ONYX SIX NEWSLETTER -Sign up for our free newsletter to receive information on upcoming events, business advice and special offers from Onyx Six click here http://oi.vresp.com/?fid=ef70831112 to opt in.

Richelle and I are all about simple, practical, affordable business solutions. As two mompreneurs, we learned how to build our businesses on tight budgets, and we are hoping to show other women how to do the same. Today is a great day to join us on businesswomenofcolor.net. Our most recent Small Business Q&A Webinar is now online. Congrats to Kandice Brooks, a Gold Member in our Women of Color Coaching Program, for having a V8 moment on the call! The tips we gave for her kandiswraps.com website, helped everyone. Both Platinum member Larissa Parks and Gold Member Michelle Mcbride, felt it was refreshing to see another member’s website get critiques live on the call, and requested this be a new feature to our training sessions! We have another Q&A in two weeks, so don’t miss it. For now, login and watch the last training filled with Smart Business Strategies: http://businesswomenofcolor.net. Plus we have additional new videos and downloads on the site. 1. Download my eBook: Selling Your Products and Services Online 2. Watch the latest video: How to Use Google Analytics 3.
