Your company’s financial records are the window into the soul of your company. Developing a system should be one the first tasks on your agenda when establishing your company. Of course, most of us wait until we’ve begun operations, and then we accumulate a mound of paperwork. At this point, either one of two things happen; you ignore that mound until you can’t ignore it anymore, or you’ll pass it off to someone else to handle for you. That’s why it’s advantageous to create your system in the beginning of your operations. You’ll save time and money.Your bookkeeping system should be designed specifically for your type of industry and it should be modified to represent the uniqueness of your particular company. If designed correctly, your bookkeeping system will not be too complex and it will provide you with pertinent financial data at the click of a mouse. To set up the proper system for your company a Bookkeeper will ask a series of questions to gain insight into the type of business you have, and from that information he/she will be able to advise as to the type of transactions and the establishment of the chart of accounts. In the beginning, your chart of accounts will provided very basic data due to the fact that not a lot of activity is occurring at that point. However, it should contain the necessary information for financial reporting and tax reporting. As your company grows, so will your chart of accounts. Your bookkeeping system should be flexible in that it needs to accommodate the addition of various financial statements that management would use such as a balance sheet, an income statement, budgeting, cash flows, etc.Creating accounts and posting transactions are not the only components of a good bookkeeping system. A good system will include controls to make sure that the data captured and presented is done accurately. For instance processing cash receipts, paying bills, and entering invoices; all these tasks should be clearly documented as to the responsible party, the actual procedures involved, and the responsibility for the review of or oversight of these functions. And most importantly, automation is key. Although you may feel that in the beginning it’s not necessary, do yourself a favor today and make sure that your bookkeeping system is automated. Manual bookkeeping systems are outdated and inefficient. Automated systems provide a higher degree of accuracy, and prevent you from having to set up ledgers, journals and accounts that you aren’t familiar with. It’s not too late to give your current system an overhaul. Have your Bookkeeper review it today!

The Ultimate Demise of Scratch Cooking

Those babyboomers out here will remember the Pillsbury Bake-Off Cookbooks sold at the grocery check-out for 25 cents many, many, many years ago. Okay so I'm dating myself, but during those days women and men really baked from scratch. There was no prepared cookie dough, bread dough or cake mix. You had to know math, flavoring techniques and have strong arms since most recipes called for you to beat the batter 250-300 strokes with a wood spoon to form the cake batter.Yes, for those "babybakers" out there the word Kitchen Aid® was non-existent; and there was no such thing as an electric mixer, we had plain old egg beaters, that again, ran by good old fashioned muscle power. As I think back on those days I can now appreciate the knowledge I gained from having to do things from "scratch." When you bake from scratch you learn about the texture of a product, the smell, taste, color, knowing when it is wrong and when you have hit pay dirt.I do not use boxed mixes, or bread machines, I am a purist and I admire and cultivate to other purist(birds of a feather). It's easy to toss ingredients in a bread machine and dump out dough. I know the bread will bake up beautifully and taste divine, but there is something about getting your hands in that dough and making the bread from scratch, plus if the machine ever breaks down, I can still produce wonderful bread for my family and friends. I am not knocking folks with bread machines, use what you like. I am of that generation that just appreciated the work that goes into using physical labor, hands, sweat to produce a delicious product. One of the students in my micro business class said it best, "There's something about going to sleep at night knowing you have produced with your own hands a product that not only fed the hungry, but also "your" soul, you just seem to sleep better at night."Well it's time for the 44th Annual Pillsbury Bake-Off and another person will win one million dollars for creating some sweet or savory concoction from preservative laden pre-prepared doughs and mixes. What does this tell us? We are continuing to dumb down American cooks and bakers. Why can't we go back to the days when people made these delicious baked goods from scratch? What's wrong with scratch cooking? Don't give me the excuse about saving time either, because I know all the garbage (preservatives) put in these prepared mixes has to affect our health.Scratch cooks and bakers around the world need to rise up, take note and protest! This is an abomination, right?Alright, I got that off my chest, back to my kitchen...today I working on a new brownie infused with Butterscotch Liqueur ...from scratch...I might add.

So, I am always on the prowl looking for savvy saving secrets. Eureka! The Genie is the answer to my wish. I can save money and make money with my Genie. They do not call me the Dynamic Discount Diva for nothing. Now, I am on my way to using the Genie to fund my children’s college education ($250,000 needed for children born today for college) and invest in my retirement plan because the days of your job, social security or your pension plan funding your retirement is over!Let me tell you about a purchase I made with the Genie two short days ago. My three, 3 year old phones died on me and I needed a phone for personal and business use badly. It is my lifeline. I can’t do business without it. But, I wanted a deal because I had spent over $100 dollars for each of the phones. I was determined to spend no more than $30 dollars for the cordless phone since I found out they only last about 3 years.I used the Genie to compare prices for the exact phone I need. I found the phone in minutes and it cost me $30 dollars including shipping and no taxes. I was so excited! But, I fell madly in love with the Genie when I was talking with my best girlfriend and I found out that she bought the same phone from one of the office stores and paid $60.00, plus gas to get to the store, taxes and wasted about an hour of her time. I saved 50%, paid no taxes, saved gas and the time it took to make the transaction. Time is very important for a work- at-home, single mom of two precocious boys like me.Guess what? When my best friend heard I paid 50% less for the same phone, she downloaded a genie and became a distributor right on the spot. The Genie will do the same for you. A Question of Sovereignty

“Those who day after day continue to think of themselves as sinners have no intention of changing. They deny the Grace that would fill their lives with love; they betray the consciousness that would reflect in them the clear, undiminished beauty of their eternal nature.Repentance is a doorway, not an abode; it is of value only when it inspires healthy change and passes on into a state of restored self-acceptance. To value yourself less than God values you is not humility, it is pride of a most destructive nature.” Ken CareyI’m inclined to believe the same is true of those in our midst who continue to bemoan the injustice of African America’s long disempowering and disenfranchisement at the deliberate hands of European Americans. We got it; we understand the election of Barack Obama has done, and likely will do, little on the ground to change race relations in this country. It certainly won’t change history pre-January 2009. Poverty is still poverty and police are still profiling. The days of our lives and the turning of the world go spinning right along. Those same voices, earnest in their harping declarations that you, we can never rise above the American reality, are quick to slander any plan for freedom as a scam. You know saggins, they say – except their tone is more intellectual than mine- they all got a crab in a barrel attitude. They say, don’t believe it; that Black Business Builders Club ain’t offering you no leg up; they just some elitist saggins, trying to run some new version of the white man’s game.I have to point out that too often these divisive naysayers then swing a sword dripping with the blood of the “white man’s” most pervasive and insidious lie. They twist scripture. They lie on God hoping you won’t notice that they’re lying to you.I also have to point out to you their intellectualize warnings, if heeded will have you completely boxed in. The “white devil” obviously would rather you didn’t exist, and America certainly hasn’t turned enough corners to debate the veracity of that statement. Each of you knows the degree to which you do or don’t experience “change” in this society. I think most of us maintain our guard to some extent. Certainly a far less than ideal option when seeking an ally in attaining economic sovereignty. But it’s a destroyer’s nature to lull with their impressive knowledge of the truth before they plant the seeds that divide and destroy. Any one that looks like you, shares your experience, shares your hope and dreams that says they know a way out is lying to you. Beware the black man, the black woman, who would teach you how to fish. They’re going to lead you down to the river, beat you over the head and cut you up for bait. Nah, what you poor, mindless saggins better do is stay right here on the No You Can’t plantation. Better stay right here where us edjamacated pontificators, who ain’t got plan the first, can continue to tell you you’re too beaten down to work a plan and we can keep getting our opportunistic egos rubbed and pockets lined working for the devourer to keep you between your rock and hard place.I don’t know about you, but I’m tried of bemoaning and waiting for them, who ever the he** them is, to do something. I’ve got a newsflash for you; them ain’t fixin to do squat. Know why? Because the them you’re waiting for is you. We have a plan and a vehicle. Our plan isn’t perfect; we’re still working out the legalities for phase two. And the Black Business Builders Club isn’t perfect, but I’d rather drive a car with no air conditioning than walk to work. I don’t know about you, but then I’m just talking about me.Black Business Builders Club offers an array of educational and marketing tools useful to anyone working to earn money on the net. Black Business Builders Club is not a charity. The club doesn’t ask for donations, and success equals effort. No more Burp Cloths!

I have taken up sewing in an effort to tap into a seemingly endless market of baby accessories and necessities, but more importantly to have more control over what goes into our existing product line. I can now make a better variety of cakes and cupcakes as well as add better quality products inside the "baked goods". Gift the Bambino can offer a stronger product line with my new talent! (Check out the cool cake pictured here)!

I have a major problem with the name “burp cloth” there is nothing cute, fun or enticing about the word “burp” so instead, I will call my cloths BambinoCloths. They will come in a variety of sizes including washcloth, mini-facecloth, traditional burp cloth size, etc. In cool modern color schemes. Pictured are some of my first BambinoCloths, a washcloth size orange on stripe beauty and a couple of polkadotted cuties.

It means the seller paid too much in a rising market and now the market has fallen. It means the seller has no equity.2) Sellers Borrowed Too Much............http://shortsales-yllong.blogspot.com/God Bless.

It's The Passion Behind The Product That Matters

Hello Fellow Sisterprenuers,I have not spent much time here as yet since I've been busy recreating myself and my business. You know we have to look at ourselves every now and then and assess where we've been and where we're headed. Having my head in the game, so to speak, has inspired me to think about why I do what I do. This is the question, I believe, that will keep us fueled and inspired to keep going: what is the passion behind my product?I recently ran across a web site that talked about the value of operating from our hearts instead of our heads. I think that it is easy as business women to get a little caught up in the "gotta go and do" syndrome. I gotta go here, gotta go there, gotta call this one, gotta email that one, gotta sell, sell, sell, gotta network, and on and on. Well, yes of course there are many business related activities we are responsible for. However it is equally important to regularly reflect on why we do what we do.What else can motivate us when we are feeling a bit down or even a little pessimistic and lacking in confidence? Nothing can truly motivate us towards any gratifying action except for the "why" behind what we do. Have you ever had a meal prepared by someone who really didn't enjoy cooking? Well, chances are, the food was a bit boring or perhaps just uninspired. We like food that is prepared by someone who knows that the most important ingredient in food preparation is LOVE. This, I believe, is true for every endeavor. There must be love, purpose and passion as the driving force, otherwise our work or our "product" becomes bland, tasteless, and uninspired. My purpose is to help women build businesses and lives that they can feel good about. I am creating a community of phenomenal women: women who will commit to supporting one another, to encouraging one another and inspiring one another to live a joyful and success-filled life. I believe that our ultimate success comes about from building relationships that matter - not just selling products. So, please share with me. What is the love and passion that sparked your product? Mine is the desire to see ALL women realize their innate value and purpose in the world and help them create lives that are successful in every area. At one point in my life, I struggled to connect with my worth and my purpose. Now, there is no doubt in my mind that everyone who breathes deserves to live a happy, healthy and success-filled life, no matter what.Peace & Blessings,MelindaJoin The Butterfly Circle Women's Networkhttp://thebutterflycircle.com

Activate the Power of Prayer

Do you need to tap into an intimate line of communication with God? The Bible instructs us to cast all our cares to God in prayer, making our requests known to Him with an attitude of thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6).We are to request what we need and then trust Him to meet our needs. As we do that, God acts - imparting to us His peace, and providing all that is beneficial for our eternal good. The power of prayer is immeasurable - and the more we reach out to God in intimate communication through prayer, the more we experience His transforming peace. The peace of God that comes through prayer is one of the most valuable assets and gifts He gives us. It is a peace that transforms how we think. It enables us to answer calamity with calm reason, to see order in chaos, and to know the best direction to pursue.By reaching out to God in prayer, we combat fears with faith. We experience God's presence with us -- an ally that is more powerful than any foe! His Holy Spirit girds us up, enabling us to function to the maximum of our ability and beyond.I encourage people to experience the power of prayer and the calming effect it brings throughout the day. When are good times to pray? ALL THE TIME!But at the very least, I recommend praying at these times:Each morning when you awake. Morning prayer allows you to begin the day offering yourself to the Lord. As you greet the Lord in morning prayer, you are acknowledging His sovereignty over your life -- believing in Him to guide, protect, and inspire you throughout the day.During the course of the day. Whether you are a homemaker, work outside the home, or go to school, there will be a myriad of circumstances in which you will find yourself needing the peace of God that prayer brings. There is no better way to handle challenging moments than to call on God to guide your actions, thoughts and words.Upon returning home for the evening. I encourage you to take a moment at some point to thank God for protecting yourself and your family. Ask Him to bring peace to your home surroundings for the evening, and to assist you and other family members in releasing any negative "remains of the day."Before going to sleep. While everyone sleeps, not everyone feels the benefits of a good night's sleep. That is because often, even when the body is resting, the soul is not...it is a bundle of anxieties and insecurities. Praying before going to sleep, and asking God to empty your mind of anxiety and worry, promotes genuine rest for both the body and the soul.Remember -- any time is the "right time" to activate the power of prayer - your intimate line of communication to God!

Lace Wig and Hairlines

For most women who order stock wigs, they usually don't have a problem with fitting them. There are, however, women who are not able to buy ready made lace wigs. Why? Hairlines. Everyone's hairline is different. With different hairlines, most stock wigs will not fit women with varying hairlines such as a low hairline, hair growing down to the temple area, or hair growing on the sides as side burns. This is mainly where women got the idea of shaving the hairline back so that they are able to wear one.The perfect example is the beautiful Mo'nique. Enclosed are some pictures of her hairline and how could see how it would be a challenge to adjust a stock lace wig for individiuals with hairlines such as hers.So for ladies who are not able to buy stock wigs, do not despair, custom is worth the wait!
