Hi everyone,

Question, have you ever had one of those AH moments Oprah talks about, or a Ding Ding moment Richelle Shaw talks about or just a plain old OMG why did it take me so long to do that?!?!

Now this blog isn't meant to be long, but what it's meant to do is inspire! You know how we talk about something pivotal happening and people say OMG that changed my life. What if that Pivotal moment really didn’t change YOUR LIFE, but in actuality got you back onto the "Yellow Brick Road"...  putting you back on the path you've always meant to be on? Think about it!

You see, I wonder where I would be at this moment if Richelle Shaw did not send out her 5th Newsletter in October 2011, informing that she was coming over to the UK.... what if I didn't head to The Millionaire Women Bootcamp website and signed up and paid the 39 pond.... well I’ll tell you; in bed, not feeling inspired to write this piece that where. I’d then wake up later and still be wishing myself a better and more meaningful life!

What I am trying to say is; there may be something that keeps nagging at you for the longest awhile and keeps returning, maybe in the same form (hence Richelle's newsletters) or in a different forms but regardless, it's the same message. What do you do when the answer is right in front of you? Now don't get me wrong all the speakers were brilliant and I even signed up with Marie-Claire Carlyle as she inspired me with her Money Magnet presentation, but now come to think of it... without that 5th newsletter and paying the 39 ponds; I most likely up to this day still would not have known who Marie-Claire was!

So, if I can leave any words of wisdom to every lady on the BBWO community; don't ignore the clobber over your head or like Richelle say, 'miss the opportunity.....', cause that nagging, clobber or sign is just trying to tell you that you've got off course and it’s time to get back on the PATH you’re truly meant to be on!!!

Rgds,

My year wasn’t totally bad…

I found the holes in my business and plugged them. Now it was time to focus on what is currently working for me and there were a few things that I did right this year. I was always attending webinars and taking tons of notes and the cycle just continued. I decided to stop learning (well more like cut back on taking part in so many) and start putting what I was learning into action. Basically that’s what we all should be doing – learn the knowledge and then apply it.

As I mention yesterday I started setting and tracking my monthly goals more closely. I also required a down payment for jobs before any work began. I put in place new polices and I plan on sticking to them. Since leads for new work came mostly from Twitter, I set up autotweets to promote my services. At some point I felt like I was getting too spammy and stopped (NEVER stop Marketing!). I am still working out the kinks on this one. Plus the service I was using started to suck. [Read entire post]

Introducing our first PWP feature of 2012: Kristie Kennedy. She is a Women's Beauty, Business, and Brilliance Coach. Having had some adversity, she has overcome it all and has proven it by her many accolades.  In 2010, Kristie was crowned the American Image National Woman and is currently Ms. Tallahassee, Fl. for Ms. Corporate America 2012. Being so talented, Kristie wears many hats. She is an esthetician, professional writer, self-published author, recording artist, poetess, jewelry designer, and motivational speaker. As a make up artist, her advice was featured on Tyra Banks' beauty website. Her advice for people in business is to: clarify your mission, define your goals, and execute your plan. It was a pleasure hearing Kristie's story and she shared more in her interview below. ENJOY!

1.Tell me your story. What were you doing before you started your own business?

It was on December 6, 1999 that I experienced being laid off from working as an Information and Referral Counselor for the Leon County Homeless Shelter. The company had to terminate 95% of staff due to a drastic budget cut and for the first time I was acutely aware that having only one stream of income could place me in a vulnerable financial state within a matter of seconds.   Two days later I was at the Division of Corporations filing for a fictitious business name without a real clue as to what I was going to do I just knew I needed to do something new.

2. What made you want to start a business and what is your mission?

As long as I can remember I have been a very creative and innovative individual.  When I was a child I remember my first business with two close friends we called it the Kangaroo Company. We sold women's shoes.  We pretended that we were the owners of a real store checking each other out at the cash register using our own shoes as inventory.  In retrospect, our imaginations were giving us a glimpse of what was to come. When your spirit is overflowing with a vast array of ideas its only a matter of time that you refuse to deny their existence and begin to showcase the inner workings of your mind.

My mission is to motivate and inspire others to believe and achieve their dreams. I breathe words of empowerment that transform fearful hearts into courageous flames of fire! 3. What inspires you?

Recently, I have been pondering that question after passing by a billboard that read, "What Drives You?"  I know many people are motivated by money but for me I am motivated by a desire to help people succeed in every area of their lives.  I want every hurting heart to be healed, every confused mind to receive clarity of purpose and every faint spirit to be renewed and revived.

What keeps you motivated daily to keep growing your business?

As I mature in my personal journey towards greatness I a motivated by the countless and wonderful experiences I encounter with others and the reward of making a difference in their lives.  Recently, one of my news articles went live and I wrote about an attorney who was making a major impact in our community.  He had no idea that I would be writing about him and after sharing the story with him I received an email from him expressing his gratitude and that he was honored.  I basked in that moment and whispered to myself, "priceless, no amount of money can touch this feeling." I aspire to inspire while instilling distinct value in the lives of others daily. It is a lifestyle.

4. Do you have a mentor? Who is it and why?

Yes. I have several on multiple levels. My mom, for matters pertaining to womanhood and practical life lessons.  She represents the truth that there is one person on earth who loves me unconditionally.  My mother is an emblem of God's love shining effervescently. My dad, is one of the most candid people I know.  He keeps it real and always shoots straight with me. My business mentor has walked with me from the early onset of entrepreneurship and I learn by her example of diligently working your business day in and day out.  I never knew what would be required of me as a business owner and I am stronger today because of the challenges it demands of me on a constant basis. My close friends inspire me with their authentic support and belief in every new idea that arises. One of them has a famous joke about how I have a tendency to wake them in the wee hours with my uncanny zeal. When your trail blazing new paths it's important to be surrounded by individuals who see beyond your current status and are secure enough within themselves to celebrate without feeling intimidated by your greatness.

Do you believe it's important to have a mentor?

Yes. In the multitude of counselors there is safety, wisdom, guidance and insights that we may be unaware of.  It takes a humble soul to acknowledge the need for assistance and a gracious spirit to be open to receive it. 5. What would you tell someone who wants to get involved in your line of business but doesn't know how to get started?

An individual's business is a sheer reflection of their core values and belief system. As a Christian, my faith in God is the foundation upon which I stand.  Additionally, one must make a lifelong commitment to know and grow.  Know thyself and grow thyself, internally and externally.  As you evolve so does the business. You have to become a sponge soaking in all of life, the good the bad, the happy the sad. Every experience is a lesson for change.  Seek out wisdom from experts in your field. Become an avid reader.  One of my favorite quotes, by Ntozake Shange "We lift as we climb."  Be generous and share what has been sowed into your life to ensure good is ever flowing your way. Most importantly, Never Give UP! 6. What advice would you give to someone with an entrepreneurial spirit?

Explore. Expand. Express.  Explore every gift and talent to see what works and what does not.  My first business concept did not go over to well.  There has to be a demand in the market place for it and it has to be made highly visible, with systems and structure in place if a high volume of sales are to be acquired.

Expand your sphere of influence by provoking yourself to move out of places of familiarity and comfort. Expand your ideas by building on old ones and developing new ones.  Express your creativity and ideas to a wide array of individuals to become more astute in articulating the vision of your heart. If you share your vision enough not only will it crystalize your convictions but it creates a comradarie amongst other entrepreneurial spirits.

A Journey of Lessons: 2011 in Review

The year 2011 was a very interesting year for me on a lot of different levels. I began the year with the intent to be laser focused on the mission of Inspired Sistah and taking the organization to another level. I had a nice, neat plan of attack and was in forward motion to make it happen. Well, life happened and a lot of things occurred differently than how I imagined them, but the education I received from "Life University" is worth sharing:

1. They that be with you are more than they that be against you.
A huge lesson that I had to learn was that not everyone will embrace my message. And that's really actually okay because I'm not called to serve everyone. But as a person who is passionate about my message, it was a bitter pill to swallow. However, in conjunction with that, I've also come to understand that there are more that are for me than against me.

2. Let Folks Go.
This has been a very painful lesson for me because I have been forced to release people who I really like, but they are in a different space than I am and want different things. I've learned that if I'm their option, they can't be my priority...Simple.

3. Listen to your gut.
As women, we've been gifted with intuition. Call it your "gut," a "hunch," that "still, small Voice,” whatever. The fact of the matter is that oftentimes, God gives us a warning or admonition about a situation long before the bottom falls out. LISTEN!

4. Don't allow anyone to discount your greatness.
There may be people who have watched you grow and evolve who still want to remember "when..." They may try to hold you to that old standard and have a difficult time embracing the new standard. Well, that's their problem, not yours. Continue to grow, abound and soar and don't let anyone discount your greatness.

5. Don't allow your purpose to get muddled in the details.
More likely than not, your purpose is an ever-changing entity with a lot of moving parts. Because of that, it's easy to get lost in the minutia. If you're not careful, your vision can become clouded in the fine print. Don't allow that to happen. Staying focused on your "why" will help keep you grounded and encouraged.

6. Even when you count up the cost, you still may not fully understand the true price of greatness.
On the ladder of success, it is not uncommon to look at someone in awe whom you deem as being a few rings higher up on the ladder. But what I've come to understand is that positions of influence come at a great cost. And even if you think you understand that cost, you may not even have a clue!

7. Take no prisoners!
At certain seasons of your journey, there may be individuals that present themselves as helpers, supporters or benefactors. They may be a tremendous blessing to you for a season, but when their season is up, release them to continue on to their destiny. Do not hold them hostage to your dream. Because once they become prisoners, they will no longer be a blessing, but unwilling participants that weigh the vision down.

8. Everybody ain't ready.
You'll meet a lot of people who say that they want to go to the next level. Or give a false perception of themselves as though they operate at a certain level of excellence. But the truth of the matter is that they're really not ready to make the type of sacrifices or commitment it takes to ascend to and sustain greatness.  Don’t judge them.  Just keep it moving.

9. You’ve got to have a plan. Passion is not enough.
It's important that you write your vision and make it plain so that you can have a blueprint for your success. Having passion with no plan will only sustain you for a short amount of time. Properly preparing for your passion gives greater credence and sustainability to your purpose.

10. Consistency is the key. Slow and steady wins the race.
To create a lasting legacy, you must commit to consistent, diligent effort. You can't hit and miss and expect lasting results. Before large infrastructures can be built, a firm, sturdy foundation must be laid in order to support its weight. So it is when you're cultivating your purpose, you must be willing to stick with it even when you're tired, discouraged and disillusioned because the moment that you slack may be the moment right before your breakthrough.

I’m sure there are countless others that I have failed to list, but these were the top ten pressing on my heart.  Like everyone else, I’m excited about what 2012 has to offer.  That excitement is fueled by expectation and the wisdom I’ve gained from 2011.  It’s been good, but I’m looking forward to even better!

New Year’s Blessings,

Tangie

High Yield Return Program. Myth, Hype, or Real

Hello Community,

May this entry find you doing exceptionally well.

People are continually trying to identify good income producing activities.

The community members here reflect that.

There are many ways to generate income.

Start a new business enterprises, Resell products/services, barter skills, ,make financial investment ( i.e stock, bonds, ipo, precious metals, etc).

One  investment is high yield investment program (HYIP).

These are programs that "promise"exceptionally high return on dollars invested. From 1% to hundreds of percents.Returns experienced in short time frames (i.e hours, days, months).

These programs attract those with very limited funds.

Many try these " too good to be true" program only to lose their limited dollars.

As with any investment, one should only offer what one can afford to lose.

Many offer what they CAN NOT afford to lose.

Bad strategy.

Many act on emotion and throw logic "out the window" only to have the "cold waters of reality" splash on their face and awaken them to a financial misstep.

Because these program promise very high returns in short periods of time, many will try them as a "quick fix" for their strained financial situation.

Bad Move

So, are their high yield investment programs that do work?

Well, like any "financial vehicle" you must know how it operates.

Most HYIPs are designed for those who "get in first" to profit and those who follow  to lose.

Most CAN NOT sustain their "promised" percentage return.

Simply, the program "runs out of money".

Usually the owner of the program, will "close shop" and keep the investers dollars.

Ok, this is not a great picture is it?

Invest your money in a program that you willl probably lose your money, unless you are the fortunate one who has sizeable investment dollars and can invest first.

What if the above flaws were removed ?

What if someone changed "the rules of the game?"

What if a funding program existed that allowed "average" people to participate.

Average people, those with small amounts of money  and did not get "first in" position.

Average people who could appreciate a better than average return on their limited dollars.

I believe I have identified such a program.

Your funding Program - JSS Tripler - Get paid to advertise!!!

JSS Tripler, offers free enrollment and minimum account funding of $10

Funding receives 2% compounded daily.

Check this program out at http://www.juniques.ws/jbp

Many average people are using this new funding model.

I have been using this program since 15 Dec 2011 and I am very pleased with the results.

You should at least, take a look at why other are getting involved.

Umoya Designs New Collection

Happy Monday All,

I usually don’t give any history behind each creation or tell a story (there is usually always a story). I have been asked questions like, “how do you name your designs”. Like personal resolutions, I will make this mines for 2012; to explain the personal story/experience behind each piece. I will call these UMOYAisms (and there is a story behind that too for a later blog posting) …

The ISMS behind the collection “The Goddess Within” was a project for me because I was conscious of the responses I would receive from some of my customers that may feel that this topic is controversial. When I think about the make up of a woman, there is so much to us that sometimes it is difficult to sum it up in one word. The Goddess Within collection describes all the characteristics that makes us who we are with family, friends, at work and during ME time! The two necklaces featured here are L.O.V.E (Leaning on various experiences) and SPIRITed (Keep my soul enriched).

10744073861?profile=original

Lastly, U-MOTIONS has always been an existing collection. With the start of 2012, there seemed to be so much buzz from people I have spoken to regarding excitement for this New Year. Weight Watchers even proclaims 2012 as the year to “Believe”. The U-MOTIONS collection is one of a kind. The jewelry in this collection will dazzle the eyes and will be friendly on your wallets.

10744074264?profile=original

Both collections will be up on the website this week. Custom made request are all welcomed….

Lovely Ladies, as your go about you day planning and conquering the business world, don't forget to take time out from your busy, entrepreneurial endeavors to take care of you. Remember, healthy, nutritional and skin care habits are important allies in your journey to the top.

Antioxidant, free radicals and scavengers. What are they? Most of you know of or have heard  those words before, and you may also know that they have something to do with the body and skin care. But, do you really know what they are and what they do? I know it's seems simple, but consider this a vocabulary lesson on a few, very important words, that can sometimes be overlooked in the fight against skin care.  If skin matters, this little lesson is for you.

Free Radicals: are scavengers. They attack other cells, and rob them of their energy, leaving the cells worn out, tired, and without energy to do work. Our normal body processes such as, breathing create free radicals. However, much more are created through environmental factors like, toxins and stress.
Antioxidants: are the chemicals in the body, that protects the cells from Free Radicals. Unfortunately, our bodies are influenced by a great deal of environmental factors such as, smoking and medication, which causes a decrease in our antioxidant levels.
Super Foods: are foods that are high in antioxidants.
The bottom line is, if you don't increase your antioxidant levels, free radicals will take over, and spread like wildfire from one cell to the next, which will eventually cause tissue and organ damage. The end result is, disease and premature aging.
So, can you increase your antioxidant levels? Fortunately, yes. Eating lots of Super Foods, reducing stress, limiting exposure to toxins and harmful chemicals, and taking antioxidant supplements will all increase levels.
My next blog will introduce you to the effects of everyday super foods, which can be found in some skin care products, and will definitely boost your antioxidant levels. The first up will be Acai Berry fruit.
