Invest In Real Estate Through The FDIC

SMART MOVE FOR WOMEN, MINORITY, AND SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS: INVEST IN REAL ESTATE THROUGH THE FDIC

Beyond buying a home for your family, it may never have occurred to you to invest in real estate. You may think that you do not have the experience or the money to even know where to begin. However, a small initial investment could result in high returns for you, by either giving you the capital to grow your business or a new professional direction. There are a number of reasons investing in real estate may be a smart move for your business or your personal finances:

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) offers an affordable way to invest in real estate, as they regularly hold auctions and have an online marketplace where they sell assets from failed banks. As there are no bid minimums at the auctions and bids can be placed in person or online, the FIDC offers an easy and affordable way for first time investors to get involved in real estate.

Why is it good for women, minority and small businesses?

To ensure a diversity of participation in the Owned Real Estate (ORE) program, the FDIC welcomes and strongly encourages small, minority and women investors and individuals to participate in the bidding under the program.

As minority-owned businesses typically receive less capital than non-minority-owned businesses, investing in real estate is an alternative way to build capital. Women are also becoming increasingly empowered to invest in real estate and they’re finding that there is always a profitable strategy regardless of the current market. You no longer have to have a wealth of experience or a lot of initial investing money because of the opportunity to buy affordable previously owned properties and flip them for a high return.

If you’re a first time investor, starting with an FDIC auction is great because of the lower prices of property sold through their Owned Real Estate Marketplace and the no bid minimum.

The FDIC’s Minority and Women Outreach Program also exists solely to make investing in real estate a reality for women and minorities who may not have been aware of the opportunity. They are eager to offer assistance and education so that you’re well informed on your opportunities for growth.

What if you have no idea where to start?

The FDIC holds information sessions specifically designed to expose and educate small, minority- and women-owned businesses to investing in real estate, as well as individual investors. The sessions focus on the process of acquiring real estate through the ORE Marketplace and any upcoming auctions. In November, there are three information sessions in Birmingham, AL (Nov. 12th), Hickory, NC (Nov. 13th) and Atlanta, GA (Nov 14th). The information sessions are free and also provide a great networking opportunity for attendees.

If you’re not located near or in any of those states, the FDIC also offers 30-45 minute webinars. There are five webinars in November, on the 5th, 7th, 18th, 19th, and 21st. As space is limited, you will want to register for your desired date as soon as possible.

People are continually trying to identify good income producing activities.

The community members here reflect that.

There are many ways to generate income.

Start a new business enterprises, Resell products/services, barter skills, ,make financial investment ( i.e stock,bonds, ipo,precious metals, etc).

One  investment is high yield investment program (HYIP).


These are programs that "promise"exceptionally high return on dollars invested. From 1% to hundreds of percents.Returns experienced in short time frames (i.e hours, days, months).

These programs attract those with very limited funds.

Many try these " too good to be true" program only to lose their limited dollars.

As with any investment, one should only offer what one can afford to lose.


Many offer what they CAN NOT afford to lose.

Bad strategy.

Many act on emotion and throw logic "out the window" only to have the "cold waters of reality" splash on their face and awaken them to a financial misstep.

Because these program promise very high returns in short periods of time, many will try them as a "quick fix" for their strained financial situation.

Bad Move

So, are their high yield investment programs that do work?

Well, like any "financial vehicle" you must know how it operates.

Most HYIPs are designed for those who "get in first" to profit and those who follow  to lose.


Most CAN NOT sustain their "promised" percentage return.

Simply, the program "runs out of money".


Usually the owner of the program, will "close shop" and keep the investers dollars.

Ok, this is not a great picture is it?


Invest your money in a program that you willl probably lose your money, unless you are the fortunate one who has sizeable investment dollars and can invest first.

What if the above flaws were removed ?


What if someone changed "the rules of the game?"


What if a funding program existed that allowed "average" people to participate.


Average people, those with small amounts of money  and did not get "first in" position.

Average people who could appreciate a better than average return on their limited dollars.

I believe I have identified such a program.

Who Is Gee Renee..Anyway?

Hi everyone, Gee Renee here. I wanted to post this short bio, introducing me to the BBWO community.

I was born and raised in The Bronx, NY, and am the 2nd eldest of 7 children. I have always been a trend-setter and a go-getter. I was the first to do many things in my immediate family; from breaking my leg to leaving home, to graduating from college, to getting married. I am also a born-again believer in The Lord Jesus Christ

For the past 18 years, I have been honored to be married to who I call "the greatest living Jazz Pianist", Mr. Levi Barcourt (bar-coo). Together, we have 3 beautiful children, who I know will one day leave indelible marks on this world. In addition to being a mommy and a wifey, I am also an entrepreneur.

After working in Corporate America for 16 years; 13 years ago, I was privileged to stay at home and become a full-time Momprenuer. I've owned my own baking business; worked as a church administrator, and as a network marketer. Currently, I am a first-time author, writing my first book, a baby name book, entitled, "You Were Destined To Be."

My current online activities includes that of an Internet Marketer. I promote cash leveraging programs, and am passionate about helping others "Create Wealth so they can Leave a Lasting Financial Legacy." 2009 Is The Year of BLACK AFFLUENCE

If we work together, ALL OF US can achieve great success beyond our wildest dreams in 2009.We are no longer at the bottom of the barrel; we have reached the TOP OF THE WORLD! If you look at all of the historic events that occurred in 2008, you have to truly believe in the possibilities of our future. Who would have thunk it…banks closings, Wall Street collapsing, foreclosure rates soaring and…Out of one of the most troubling times in the history of this country, a Black man was elected President of the United States of America?We came together in numbers not seen since the height of the Civil Rights activism in the 50’s and 60’s. It is now our time to shine once again and to be filled with pride likes our ancestors. We are truly a nation born from royalty, but we lost our culture, our true purpose, dreams and goals. So now what? We as a people need to siege the opportunities that are placed in front of us. We have to re-educate ourselves so that we can prosper in 2009 and beyond.We can achieve the financial freedom our families deserve with the right knowledge. Let me tell you my story. I joined TAG TEAM Marketing in December 2007 because of all the positive programs that were created to unite and empower the Black communities around this country and the world. In October 2006, my husband Larry and I had been the victims of a most vicious form of identity theft. The deed to our home was forged by a group of scam artists who were trying to sell our home without our knowledge. Well after 2-years of fighting, we went into foreclosure, bankruptcy (then kicked out of it) and lost everything. We started to be approached by family, friends and our church members to see if we could help them with their foreclosure issues. So we started the Steeple HOME Team In Jan’08.
