Its Rococo on The Rhoda Wilson Show

As an accomplished television presenter Rhoda recognises the importance of image, in the media “image is everything”. So it comes as no surprise that Rhoda has chosen to speak to the capital’s most successful image consultant on the importance of styling and what choices of fashion says about people. This show is certainly unmissable as Rhoda and Bukky go through fashion tips, image issues and style etiquette.Bukky Odusote is a trained image Consultant based in London. Her flair and passion for fashion and style resulted in her enrolling for a fashion course at Kensington and Chelsea College, London.Thereafter she trained as an image consultant with First Impressions and became an affiliate member of the Federation of Image consultants (TFIC), UK. Bukky has not always been in fashion or image consultancy. In fact she studied accountancy and finance as her first degree and worked in accounting & administration in the private and public sectors, a world away from fashion. However Bukky’s past roles and experience helped her immensely help in building strong client relationships and organising her time effectively. From her early years she had an inclination towards the use of colours to display her creativity and grab attention, making clothes for her sister’s doll. She took her time to plan and dress stylishly for all occasions as she always knew somewhere deep within that personal presentation was paramount in creating positive first impressions. Bukky was always eager to help friends and family put together colours and styles for their special occasions and little did she know then that she would end up earning a living from what she saw as a hobby that she loved.Bukky’s image consultancy business it’s Rococo-(Rococo is a French term meaning Ornate) boasts clients come from all over the world, including professionals, government officials, MDs of businesses and celebrities. She also works with those wanting to improve their career prospects or who just want to make the most of themselves. On The Rhoda Wilson Show Bukky will be explaining the benefits of using image consultancy to improve confidence and self-esteem; issues that Rhoda herself is an advocate of. With The Rhoda Wilson Show’s core message being “Inspiring you to Aspire to life” this show is yet another example of how much emphasis Rhoda places on motivation and inspiration to achieve the best in her audience’s lives. The Rhoda Wilson Show – Every Friday at 10pm BEN TV, Sky Channel 184For more information:Ronke Lawalpublicrelations@rhodawilson.comBukky Odusotebukky@itsrococo.co.uk

How To Write an Autoresponder Message That Gets ResultsAl BredenbergFounder of EmailResults.comWith an autoresponder, you can deliver your sales message or other information rapidly, 24/7. Here are nine ways to use this tool successfully. The autoresponder (or mailbot) is one of the great workhorses of Internet marketing. With the autoresponder, you can deliver your sales message or other information rapidly. And you can deliver it 24 hours a day to any Internet email user in the world. But how can you create an autoresponder message that gets real results? Here are some methods of power communication that I've had success with as a writer of sales letters, mailbot copy, World Wide Web content, ads and more.1. Focus on the reader, not yourselfYour message should be about the customer's needs and how your product will fulfill those needs, not about how wonderful you are and how great your product is (in your own opinion).Don't talk to me about your fertilizer, talk to me about my lawn. Take a look at my first few paragraphs above. How many times did I talk about "you" and "your" as opposed to "I" and "me"?2. Make it personal. As with any sales letter, write your autoresponder message as a one-to-one communication. Pretend you're sitting down to talk to a friend.Let your message be friendly, animated and informal. Go ahead and use contractions (like "you're" and "don't" and "we'll"). Don't be afraid to start a sentence with "and" or "but." Your English teacher will never read it, and he wasn't teaching you to write advertising, anyway.3. Emphasize benefits.Rather than thinking of yourself as selling a product or a service, think of yourself as providing benefits. To determine the benefits, ask yourself, "What does the customer get out of my product?" The answer should be something like "more time," "more money," "more pleasure," "an easier life," "better health," or "greater safety."Benefits are different from features. Example of a feature: "This computer has a Pentium 4 processor." Now we turn it into a benefit: "Lightning-fast Pentium 4 processor means you get more work done in less time."4. Include a "call to action."Be clear in your mind about what you want the reader to do after reading your message. What do you want? A reply by email? A visit to your Web site? An order called in to your toll-free number? Let the user know what response you want, and let them know in a compelling, urgent, benefits-oriented way. Include complete contact information, and triple-check it for accuracy.5. Offer useful information. One good autoresponder strategy is to offer a free report giving useful information but including a sales message -- an "advertorial" approach. For an example, for several years I distributed a report, "10 Tips for Selling on the Internet and the World Wide Web." This was a report with much solid nuts-and-bolts advice. But at the end of the report, I told the user how to order my "Smart Business Guide to Internet Marketing," and I even included an order form. Users didn't resent my pitch because they got so much value from the report.6. Use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. You tell the world whether you're a professional or an amateur by the quality of your marketing communications. Take the time to edit your autoresponder message for errors. If you're not a good speller, get help from someone who is.7. Use layout to make it easier to read.Since a mailbot message is delivered in plain ASCII text, your design capabilities are limited. Here are a few tricks you can use to make your message more readable:*For a headline, use ALL-CAPS and insert a blank line before and after.*Use short paragraphs, say 5-7 lines at the most.*Set out material in bulleted lists (like this one).*Use "white space" to center important material and call attention to it, like so:Now available:Solid strategies for "Net" results!Send any message to ebook@silverquick.comWarning: I suggest you not try to create cute pictures with text characters. Different computers use different screen and printer fonts, so your picture will often come out as a big mess. Also, I think it's a good idea to limit each line to 55-60 characters, as many email systems will automatically wrap the text at that length.8. Obey the law.False advertising is still illegal, even if you're on the Internet. In many countries, pyramid schemes and chain letters are illegal. You should assume that all tax and licensing laws in your town, state, province, country and so forth still apply. If you're in doubt, check with your attorney or accountant.9. Read the messages people send to your autoresponder.A good autoresponder system will send you a copy of the request every time someone sends for your report. With most systems, the user doesn't have to type anything in the body of their message when they send in the request. But often they do! By reading the message and replying to the user personally, you may increase your chances of selling to that person. If you create a strong, well-written, persuasive message, your autoresponder can help you increase your sales and fulfill the goals of your email marketing effort.

How to Create the Perfect Cheer

When we work hard on a project or finish writing an article that we consider to be a masterpiece, everyone to some degree craves to be praised. Oftentimes, this does not happen and you are left feeling uninspired. Everyone feels more energized when there are people cheering for them on the sidelines. What happens when you do not have this affirmation? Many become discouraged and silently start to doubt their capabilities. However, there is another option–be your own cheerleader. Come up with a cheer that will uplift you in the event that no one else is there to do so. It took me awhile to create my cheer because I had to get rid of some bad habits I had developed over the years. Find out if the following habits are preventing you from creating the perfect cheer:Wandering eyes. Creating your own cheer can be difficult because it requires you to concentrate solely on your accomplishments. A task that is extremely difficult if you do not feel like you have anything worth praising or if prior tasks you have accomplished have gone unnoticed. You find yourself starting to wonder, ” Are there other people out there feeling the same way as me and what are they doing?” The answer to this question is ‘yes’, but this should not be viewed as a reason to take solace in the fact that there are others struggling with this issue as well. The danger in looking at other people is if you are too busy looking at others –who is left to work on you? No one. Life is full of negative people that are intent on keeping you from reaching your full potential in life-mainly because they never fulfilled their own goals. One of the tactics many people use to prevent you from reaching your goal is to intentionally not acknowledge your hard work. This is their feeble attempt to wear you down and further increase their chance of getting you to feel self conscious. Now some may say, ” Wait a minute, in business you have to keep an eye on your competitors.” There is a difference between being aware of your competitors and being utterly obsessed with outperforming them. There are only so many hours in the day, so much energy we can expend, etc. Why not spend it on recognizing needs that are not currently being met in the industry and strive towards satisfying those needs? This is an inadvertent way of keeping an eye on your competitors while not losing your concentration on what makes you and your business unique.Unfair comparison. If you choose to continue to allow your eyes to wander, you will begin to compare yourself to people. Many times we compare ourselves with other people to see how we “stack up” against our peers to see if we are on the right track. Many times what ends up happening is that we compare our weaknesses to the other person’s strengths. The only thing comparing yourself to other people does is further deepen your insecurity. How is this helping you?You do not know the full story behind how that person you are comparing yourself to obtained their “strength”. Was it from hard work? Did they know someone? Did they steal it? There are a million ways in how one gets to where they are in life. If you do not have the answer to this question, you may never be able to have the success to the degree that the person you choose to compare yourself to is experiencing. This is not to say that you will not be able to attain your goal, but the way you go about achieving it will be different–provided you stop comparing yourself to others and spend your time creating a game plan.Eyes green with envy. Whenever you start to compare yourself with other people, you automatically start wondering, ” Why does he/she have (insert desire) and I do not have it?” Again, you don’t know how this person came about to obtaining their strength. You might not be so eager to have their strength once you find out how they got it.Sick of waiting. When things are not happening as fast as we would like, I do not know about you, but I get extremely impatient. After all, what what is wrong with wanting (insert desire)? There may be nothing at all wrong with what you want to achieve, but I am a huge believer in that things happen for a reason. Timing is everything. If you move to fast or to slow you risk messing up your chance to achieve your goal.Peacock Syndrome. You know how peacocks like to strut? Well, sometimes we like to act like them. We want to show the world what we are made of by showing off our feathers and when we do not get the praise we seek we want to hide. There is nothing wrong with showing off your feathers, just do it because you want to make yourself feel good and not because you want to demonstrate your achievements to others. The aforementioned habits will without a doubt keep you from creating the perfect cheer. It will take a lot of hard work to get rid of these habits. However, it is well worth the effort because I cannot think of a more important person to cheer for–can you? This is our most recent blog post on TargetStars (http://www.targetstarsblog.com).

The Goal Can Be Reached!

The Goal Can Be ReachedThere is a way to reach the goal. You just have to decide you're going to do it.There are challenges, to be sure. Yet you've overcome challenges before and you can do it again.Decide to do it, and make the commitment. Take the necessary actions, over and over again. If you realize your approach isn't working, adjust it and improve it until you begin to make some progress. Then be grateful for what you've learned, and use it to move more quickly ahead.Be sure to choose a goal that is truly yours. Making the goal meaningful is what makes it reachable.Creating anything of value takes a lot of good, hard, solid work. Enjoy the journey and delight in reaching the destination.R. MarstonAnd Please Remember what we have been taught:"I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me"Philippians 4:13God Bless,Purpose"Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; turn your foot from evil."Proverbs 4:25-27

Don't be Afraid to Charge What You're WorthGet over your emotional hang-ups about money. Think instead about the value you're offering your customers.By: Aliza ShermanI have a love/hate relationship with money, and it has plagued me all my adult life. It's taken me 20 years to extricate myself from a slew of bad money habits and operate around it with less emotion. In business, emotions and money just don't mix.Ever since starting my own company in 1995, I've struggled with how much to charge for my services. Along with the emotional aspects of managing money, I battled low self-esteem, so putting a dollar value on my work was painful. As I've learned to separate myself from the companies I've owned and run, I can now look at charging for services as a consequence of doing business and not a rating of my personal worthiness.Professionally, I'm actually worth a lot. There are few people in social media today who can say they've been doing internet and social media in their various incarnations since 1992. But I still cringe when pricing my services or announcing my rates.Julie Murphy Casserly, author of The Emotion Behind Money: Building Wealth From the Inside Out, says it all starts "in our own heads, what you think and feel." Your inner thoughts create your belief system, which in turn can become your reality."I think it's important for women entrepreneurs to look at what their competition is charging," Casserly says. "People won't hire you if your fees are too low because the perception is that you must not be as good as your competition."Casserly, who is also a certified financial planner, says her competition charges at least $1,500 for financial planning, but she had difficulty charging $250 when she started out.Another tip from Casserly about charging for your services is that "you can't be all things to all people. Your target market will pay what the marketplace has proved it will pay."Casserly says women often undercharge because they feel they aren't good enough or work from inherited beliefs passed down by their parents."The key is that over time, [you should] create systems that slightly increase your fees enough to keep the business rolling but also satisfy your emotions behind it all," Casserly recommends. Another suggestion she has is to use a tiered system, in which you charge different fees for different kinds of clients to leverage what the market will bear.Heather Dominick, creator of the EnergyRICH Success System for Entrepreneurs, distills her advice into three rules:Manage your money story. "When it comes to your money beliefs, it's important to understand specifically as an entrepreneur what you're bringing to the table when connecting with a potential client in the area of money," Dominick says. "Whatever you believe you know about someone else and their money story, you don't know."Often we're convinced we understand what this person does or does not have, can or cannot pay, creating thoughts, judgments and beliefs that can literally create an "energetic barrier" between us and our potential customer.Says Dominick, "You need to have your money energy running clean and clear, and able to take a powerful stand for the full value and worth of your service."Shift from "dollars for hours" to "packaged value." Dominick calls her approach the "Papa, Mama, Baby Approach" because Goldilocks is the perfect example of a client trying to find the right fit, she says. A potential client is attracted to your business, so you should try to find the best way to serve her through package options."Basically, people like to have options," Dominick says. "If you've attracted them to you, and then all you have is one option and that [option] doesn't work for them, then what? There's a high percentage chance that they'll walk."By providing programs and packages, you give potential customers choices, so they can focus on the value you offer rather than the amount of time you spent. Your rates can then reflect this value, and you don't have to live from appointment to appointment, wondering when a client will return.Offer A Guarantee. Be bold and guarantee your service, Dominick says. "The key to offering a guarantee is to speak to what you have control over. You can guarantee what folks will receive from you. You can't guarantee what they will do with it," she says. The power of a guarantee gives your business strength. With that strength, you demonstrate increased value. That, in turn, can translate into higher rates. In my case, I brought on a trusted business partner whose strengths include corporate finance. She's not only putting our services into packaged offerings but is helping me rethink my own money story. I've always been good with numbers, but I've put myself down so much that I've come to believe my own naysaying. Having a supportive business partner complimenting me on some good decisions I'm making about company money has been a big boost to my money confidence. And that's going to be a huge boost to business.

The subject of business ethics has been of concern since the beginning of time and will continue to be especially in these times of economic turbulence. Many businesses as a result of ignoring this principle have lost their reputation just for the sake of making money.Unfortunately, in the 21st century in which we all find ourselves, there seem to be some systems that have created ethical dilemmas for the business owner or entrepreneur today in the sense that what you will find to be legal could not necessarily be ethical.Interestingly enough, there is a new trend sweeping over the business world today where a lot more individuals are venturing into starting new businesses as a result on the many job loses. That in itself is a good thing and what could even make it better if you are into business for yourself is to take the time to properly establish an ethical business that benefits both you and your community. The problem is that most of the new businesses that are being set up, due to their ignorance of how things work and the speed with which they want to start making money, most of the time, only study their industry colleagues' ways of operation and try to model them while overlooking the ethics behind the business. One of the things that most business starters do not get to learn is the fact that depending on how well you build relationships with your customers and clients, is what will determine if you succeed long enough in business or not.Fortunately, there are ways and systems that can even help new businesses to operate ethically and still make lots of money without ruining their reputation. One sure way to find out if you are operating in the right manner is to join at least one association or community where your target customers or clients meet and listen carefully to what issues they talk about and use those to shape up your business ethics to build a reputable business.Gone are the days when the customer had no say in the product development and the companies treated customers “equally” and most of the time without any care.Today, customers are not only talking a lot to each other about how businesses treat them but they are even dictating how they want the outcome of a product or service to look like before they invest in it.It is therefore important as a business owner, to put systems in place that only works to build great relationships with your target community in order to grow a loyal and a faithful following that respects, values and trusts you, in a way that makes your business offerings highly sort after in order to grow your business exponentially. The question you must therefore ask yourself as a business owner or entrepreneur is “what values do I want to nurture in my business?”Making good business ethics a part of these values would be a wise decision that will help you to avoid many of the pitfalls that have caused many businesses to end up shamefully and painfully.Do you have any etiquette question you need answers to? Free Publicity With Email Press Releases

Al BredenbergFounder of EmailResults.com If you can get Internet journalists and writers to cover your story, this can create marvelous free "advertising" for your company. To make it work, though, keep these 10 points in mind.As an Internet-based writer, I receive many press releases by email. On the other hand, I've written many press releases over the years and had a hand in distributing them. So I think I can offer a unique point of view on the use of email press releases as a publicity tool.If you can get journalists and writers to cover your story, this can create marvelous free "advertising" for your company. To make it work, though, keep these points in mind:1. Most publications still prefer to receive press releases by postal mail. So don't ignore this method of getting your news out, unless you are primarily interested in reaching online journalists.2. Several news services are available for sending out your press release by email. However, the most valuable media list is the one you build yourself for your own use.3. Don't create a "spam" email media list. Just because a publication, writer or editor has a published email address doesn't mean that person wants to be placed on an email list without permission.4. Build your media list one address at a time. Send a brief message introducing yourself. Assure the recipient that you have not placed them on a list but that you are sending a personal note to ask if they would like you to send news items to them. Let the person know what kind of news you can offer and how frequently you'll be sending it.5. Develop helpful relationships with writers and journalists who have interviewed you or covered your company. Keep in touch without becoming a pest.6. When you send out a press release, make sure that you have some news to offer. That means something new and different -- not just more hype about your company or product.7. Keep your initial email press release short and to the point -- maybe even only one screen in length. Offer to provide details, background or further information for those who are interested. You can make this available via a Web page or a lengthier email document.8. Start out your press release with the basics -- who, what, when, where, why and how. Let the recipient know why this is important news.9. Avoid filling your press release and follow-up materials with "fluff" -- puffery, hype and pompous quotes from the company president.10. Include clear contact information, so the writer will know who to get in touch with for an interview. More than anything, that's what you want -- a journalist talking with you on the phone and writing down your words, to be quoted in an article for all the world to see!

untitledWith the economy being in a state of turmoil and with so many people losing their jobs, people are looking for other means to make money. There are so many opportunities that we receive to take a look at on a daily basis, it can sometimes be overwhelming. One thing that I would recommend that you look at is your "passion". What is it that you enjoy doing, and would do even if you did not get paid for it? Many people just jump into opportunity to make fast money. They want or need the money right now, today! That is not the best way to go, especially if you truly want to make money.Over the years, I have made some mistakes about joining opportunities that were not really for me. I just wanted to make money. My thinking has changed a great deal because now I know that it's not all about the opportunity, but about my passion. You too can find your passion by writing down what it is you enjoy and then looking for opportunities that fit your criteria.I have found that I cannot sit around waiting for someone to "save" me. The government in the USA is in debt billions of dollars. Even though President Obama is giving breaks to a select few, it does not take one out of their current debt situation. If you want to survive and make it in this economy, you must take it upon yourself and make it happen. Not trying to dampen your day, but give you insight on our current state and how you can help yourself.I just recently noticed that gas prices are starting to increase. Of course, it always happens when summer hits. No one really has a good reason for this increase. Last year, we were told that gas prices increased due to the drilling of more well holes. So, I guess this only occurs during the summer months(lol). If you are serious about making some money, start with getting a grasp on steps needed for this to happen. I wanted to learn more about making money on-line, so I picked up an E-Book that keeps me on track daily. It's called "The Black Folks Guide To Making Big Money On The Internet". No, you do not have to be black to get the benefits of what this E-Book offers. The title was created based on the mission of the Black Business Builders Club. Which is to uplift and support black businesses. This E-Book is packed with information on how to make money on the Internet. I have my own personal copy of this E-Book and must say it's awesome. It's packed with 300 pages of content on how to start, market and grow your existing businesses. I mainly use it as a daily reference to keep me on track with my marketing efforts for my businesses. This E-Book is for you if your making money or not on the internet.
