ATTENTION ALL HONOR STUDENTS
FREE TUITION
Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition. In making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only ten percent of the students in elite higher education come from families in the lower half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough. We are not doing enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income distribution."
If you know of a family earning less than $60,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition. The prestigious university recently announced that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families can go to Harvard for free... no tuition and no student loans!
To find out more about Harvard offering free tuition for families making less than $60,000 a year, visit Harvard's financial aid website at: http://www.fao.fas.harvard.edu/ or call the school's financial aid office at (617) 495-1581.

Welcome to my New Blog
I decided to start my blog with the new month of October. I'm feeling great because I have started this month and the best way. I now weigh less than I have ever weighed in my adult life. This is such an accomplishment for me. Although I have lost and kept a lot of pounds since 2003, I have had my share of battles. Sometimes I felt deprived and frustrated that I must be concerned with eating healthy and exercising. However, I realize after seeing the results I've been seeing, it is worth more than the cookies, cakes, donuts and pizza that I have passed up. The thrills of eating those are so temporary and the results and are not what I want, the extra weight, and clothes not fitting right.
On the other hand, eating healthy makes me feel physically better and more in control. I enjoy seeing the numbers going down on the scale, my clothes fitting like I want them to. Don't think that I'm obsessed with losing weight or trying to reach a ridiculously low number. I'm just getting closer to the healthy BMI which will no longer classify me as overweight.
Now that I've expressed my excitement, I want to know how or will you start your journey this month?
As my site suggests, start living today! It's well worth effort.
Vendors and participants needed! Your $10 admission takes care of theparticipation in the challenge and donation to a worthy cause. Vendor spacesavailable at the EARLY BIRD RATE of $75 thru September 30. ( Only a fewslots left; cost will be $100 starting on October 1)

So now that you are single you are probably sitting around wondering to yourself, what do I do now? Well, at this point you have a lot of options.
· You can sit around and cry and pout for a couple of days or months. (Note that there is none thing wrong with crying to release all of your hurt and pain. Just don’t stay in that place too long.)
· You can go hang out with your girlfriends.
· You can spend this time getting to you know you a little bit better. (Highly recommended)
· You can find a rebound guy who you can use to cuddle up with and spend your time with so that you won’t feel lonely.
After all of the options that I have provided, I would suggest that you as a new single woman spend time getting to know yourself a little bit better.
A problem that many single women have is that they don’t take the necessary time to heal after a major breakup before jumping into a new relationship.
And the result of doing that is you go into a new relationship with mixed emotions and hurt and pain from your previous relationship.
What I suggest that you do is take some time to heal from your previous relationship.
Do you need further help in this area? Erica recommends Make-Me-Over Michelle Coaching Program where she will guide you through letting go of all of the heartache and pain that you need to get rid of to move forward in your life. Visit www.guidingu2success.com for more details.
If you are operating in the dark, or operating in denial you can best believe that your end is near! It is not ok to be ignorant or make excuses for lack of business while doing nothing to change your circumstances. What is happening today is a good indicator of what will be happening in the future and so if you are not satisfied with what is taking place in your business today, you might want to get on the fast track to changing some things. Problems won't fix themselves! Customers won't magically appear. If you are doing what you've been doing and getting the same results, you might want to consider changing some things - that might include evaluating other business opportunities.
V. Gold
Sometimes we find out the hard way...
On that day I decided to take things into my own hands
To find a get rich quick skeem seemed to be the plan
But things didn't turn out the way I had visioned
A shot to my body made by someone's instant decision…
to take my life.
I know that my reasoning for the robbery wasn't right
Didn't think that the decision made would take my life
Didn't think that I would be the one laying there motionless
Didn't think I would be in a position that would leave me helpless.
Hanging with the wrong crowd could've been why this took place
Didn't know that my life would end this way
So now how do I ever get a chance to change my mind
How about I paint a portrait of my forgiveness in the sky.
When we hear of children losing their lives we think we're invisible
Living like it will never be us will have us doing the unthinkable
I bet you wonder why I was out at that time of night anyway
God was getting ready to call me home is all I can say.
I know the tears fill the eyes of my family and friends
And I know the hurt and the pain has only began
I know that it'll be hard to open up your hearts and forgive
But God knew on that very day that it would be the last moment I live.
And as we know, things truly happen for a reason
And I know that my death to ya'll wasn't all that pleasing
And I know that the blame weigh heavy on your hearts
But maybe If I was standing in their shoes that shot may have not been that hard…
to take.
And me saying that, I know doesn't replace the fact that I'm gone
And no matter how I try to make it sound, my death will always seem so wrong
And we may say that there were other ways around this
But at that single moment, I found that…
God called me home to be with Him that day
He sent one of the most beautiful angels to come and carry me away
He left with you memories to enjoy
And gave me away to try and help every young girl and boy by…
Sending these words to say that life is really precious
And you don't have to die so that others learn a lesson
While you have the chance it's time to turn things around
And we need to stand up and put the guns down
And we need to learn to make better decisions
And watch who you hang with and don't let peer pressure have u wishing..
you would've made better choices.
Let these words as you read them be a positive voice that says,
God wants better for our lives and our parents love us more than that
Take your spare time and give that love back
And though my life is no longer, these words to you I give
Let my death be the reason that you live.
I'm out,
Qualynn Dabney

My God given talent is to write poetry...write poetry that helps, heal and save lives. On my Facebook page is where I do most of my writing but I would love to share some of them with you. I write personalized poetry for anyone in need of comforting words, a good laugh, uplifting or just because.
I hope you enjoy...
I sit along side the ground I was buried in
My arms wrapped around my legs and I'm wondering
How did I get here? So quick. So fast.
Is this the length of time my life was suppose to last?
I sit here wondering wut is dude thinking
Does he have a care in the world that in this ground my body sinked in.
Did he get caught yet or is he wondering free?
Is the picture of my body laying there helpless all that he see?
I sit bottom on my bunk in this cell
Angry that at such a young age, my life will forever be in jail.
Can't escape the eyes of the young man who's life I took
Pain buried in my heart as, at my life I look.
No way to apologize. No way for him to hear.
Well, if he's wondering. Behind these walls for my life I fear.
That moment I asked to be taken back to
That bullet I ask for it to reverse back thru...his body.
I wonder if he knew that, that day I shot me
Only I lived. No permanent wound but a dead life I'll live.
I sit mourning my child's death
I sit hating that his life has ended
I sit with hatred in my heart
I wish that boy's life in jail could be ended...
but I know that's not right.
For some reason he still has life
Maybe it's to save another
My heart goes out to that boy's mother.
I sit on the edge of my bed crying
My son is in jail while another mother's son is lying...6ft under
My mind wonders and I don't know wut to say
I know she's hurting and my words won't end the pain
But I would wrap my arms around her and say,
Though I cannot remove the pain that you feel
From one mother to another...I know God is real.
And for my son I send my condolences and apologies
Cause when you cry, I also weep. I'm so sorry.

A few weeks ago, a young man gave a testimony at church about coming to a crossroads in your life and how God is in the midst of the changes about to take place. It was so powerful, it brought me to tears and I had chill bumps up and down my arms. Part of my reaction was because of the testimony itself, but the other part was because my husband and I recently realized that we are at that point in our lives, personally, and in our respective businesses. Although we've had a good run individually, with regard to our businesses, we decided it was hightime we brought our talents together under one umbrella in order to turnaround our business, be a greater blessing to our clients, and become a force to be reckoned with in the business world.
For the past 30 days, we put our heads together to plan a massive reorganization of our businesses. We decided upon the name and our business structure, where we would host our new website, and basically made a checklist of all we needed to do and then divided up the tasks.
The planning phase of our business reorganization has been intensive. The most important question on the table - what will stay and what will go? Then we ask ourselves, what can we add that uses both of our talents to the max? We reevaluated our existing business plans and decided to make very significantchanges. It's been tough, to say the least, to say goodbye to our individual business identities (I applaud and appreciate my husband for making the biggest sacrifice), but I believe the reward will be so much greater. No pain, no gain, right?
